On Saturday, I had a great day meeting people across Wokingham. I started the day with a productive discussion with residents at California Country Park, hearing about their experiences.
I then visited Oktoberfest in Peach Place, where it was interesting to learn more about the event and meet some of the volunteers and organisers who help make it happen each year.
This week, I took the opportunity to raise issues affecting people here in Wokingham, at the Lib Dem Conference.
I also supported local events celebrating Wokingham's landmarks and it's people, and worked on improving local primary care.

Enjoyed meeting with Prostate Cancer Research to discuss their work to improve earlier diagnosis, the next phase of their screening campaign and their new Prostate Progress initiative.
We also discussed my Private Members Bill, and how we can improve outcomes for patients.
Yesterday, I Joined Surfers Against Sewage, Paddle UK, Rewilding Britain, Ed Davey and the Marine Conservation Society for a beach clean in Brighton, highlighting the importance of protecting our waterways.
Great to see so many people coming together to make a difference.
On Wednesday evening I attended the AGM for Royal Berkshire Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. It was a good meeting.
We had an update on the New Hospital building programme that was very positive. Especially after the chaos of when the Conservatives were in government.
Yesterday, I spoke with Kellogg’s and Warburton's at their event about concerns that school food standards will reduce the amount of fibre and vitamins pupils will get at school for breakfast.
Getting the right amount of fibre and vitamins is so important to children in school.
It was great to attend the Association of Convenience Stores’ Heart of the Community Reception in Parliament this week.
The event provided a valuable opportunity to speak to store owners about the challenges and opportunities they are facing.
Wokingham is home to many Ukrainians who are deeply concerned about wavering international support for their fight against Russia's invasion.
In Parliament, I urged the Government to reaffirm its commitment to Ukraine, and that this would remain even if the US abandons them.
This week I spoke with cancer charity Maggie’s to discuss society lotteries' vital role in funding services who support people living with cancer, and their families.
These funds are capped, but changes to these limits could help Maggie’s and other charities help more people.
Shortfalls in the NHS workforce could prevent the Gov's targets for early cancer diagnosis from being delivered.
After chairing a roundtable with the @RCRadiologists this week, I called for a debate to resolve the NHS workforce shortfalls, so earlier diagnosis can be delivered.
Cancer care is in urgent need of improvement, but the Gov's Health Bill would remove the mandate for NHS England to prioritise cancer outcomes over other cancer metrics.
My amendment seeks to restore that priority and to secure a commitment from the Gov to deliver improvements.
I've heard from many residents that Gov departments have missed or ignored their accessibility needs. This is not good enough.
I pressed the Gov to ensure people with accessibility needs can access services and get support at every stage of their interaction with Gov services.
