Feeling thankful & grateful for this opportunity to help lead IMPD & transform our ideas into real results.
Iโm grateful to @IMPD_Chief & so many other colleagues who have supported me along the way.
Looking forward to the next chapter & continuing the important work in 2026.

Definitely the best roster addition of the year ๐๐๐
@PatBoylanPacers & I are so in love with our newest teammate.
& while this may be one of my last videos for a little while, itโs not goodbye!
For me, maternity leave will likely begin sometime in the next week or so as we get closer to welcoming our little guy. ๐
More to come!
This is likely one of my last Before the Badge videos of the year, and youโre in for a treat!
Officer Gomez is so passionate about serving our community, and itโs evident in the way he talks about his work and service.
5๏ธโฃ years later ๐
It was more than five years ago when I walked away from the TV news with no idea what would come next. It was terrifying to leave a career I had poured so much into, but I knew there was something else out there for me.

Happy 4th of July!
As we come together to celebrate Americaโs 250th birthday, we hope your day is filled with pride, community, and plenty of red, white, and blue spirit. Stay safe, look out for one another, and enjoy the fireworks responsibly! ๐๐
Happy Fatherโs Day to all the dads & father figures who make a difference every day.
Weโre especially proud of our own IMPD officers who have the opportunity to serve side by side with their sons, carrying on a legacy of service together.
Nearly 40 years ago, Lt. Greg Gehring joined IMPD not knowing the job would shape his entire life, including the future of his family.
Today, his son Officer Christian Gehring wears the same badge, walking a path paved by his father.
This Fatherโs Day, we honor the Gehrings and all families who serve our city together. ๐

This month on Before the Badge, weโre introducing you to Sergeant Dominique Clark, whose path was anything but ordinary.
A teen mom turned caregiver, National Guard soldier, and now IMPD leader, she proves growth comes from every chapter.
This Womenโs History Month, her story is a reminder that you can always become more.

The men and women of IMPD are holding the Beech Grove Police Department and the family of Officer Brian Elliott close in our thoughts after this heartbreaking line of duty loss.
We are also keeping the injured officer in our prayers as they recover in the hospital.
We stand together with you, today and in the difficult days ahead.
Iโve had the privilege of working closely with Chief Terry & I continue to be inspired by her leadership thoughtful decision-making.
She brings consistency & integrity to every challenge, & she understands the importance of building trust & connection within our community.
The end of the year gives us an opportunity to reflect on everything we have been able to achieve together with our community this year and itโs certainly something to be proud of.
Grateful for our IMPD family & the lifesaving work we have been able to accomplish this year.
"We must do a better job of celebrating our wins instead of letting a handful of incidents, or an online narrative, overshadow the truth of what's happening in our neighborhoods."
Proud of the life-changing work @IMPDnews has done this year & will continue to do in 2026.

Happy Hanukkah from the IMPD
Wishing those who celebrate a joyous Festival of Lights filled with warmth, love, and happiness.
The IMPD unequivocally condemns all acts of hate and bias, whether they occur here at home or anywhere in the world. In response to the disturbing act in Australia, we have increased patrols and visibility around local synagogues and Jewish community centers as a precautionary measure.
In moments like these, we are reminded that the strength of our community is found in how we treat one another. Especially during this season, we must choose kindness, compassion, and love over hateโstanding together against violence in all its forms.
I spent more than three years working alongside @ShaneFoleyIndy, learning from his leadership and steady guidance.
No one deserves this more.
Congratulations to my friend! Downtown is in good hands, and I cannot wait to see the positive impact you will make!
