lnkd.in/p/dm4fYXAy *50 Million Shipments a Month. The Data Nobody Can Prompt* . I sit down with Naman Vijay, CEO & Co-Founder of ClickPost, for an unscripted conversation about Clickpost' evolution from an API tool to a decision engine. ClickPost helps every B2C brand run delivery operations with the sophistication of an Amazon or a Flipkart, without the billion-dollar investment. It moves 50 million shipments a month, and works with brands including Nykaa, Lenskart and 1mg. Gemba Capital was one of the early investors in ClickPost.

What's going to happen to the internet advertising businesses, if agents are going to do all the work end-to-end? Agents don't have impulse, moods, scrolling habits. There will be auction and bid-for-ranking inside an agent's tool calls. Money shifts from attention to intent, and the winners are whoever controls the point where a decision gets made. #agentledcommerce

It's crazy how govt policies can shape businesses and create multi-baggers. One has to understand the policy direction and the have the courage to take bets. When I was working at a PE Fund, we met the management of CP PLUS in 2015-16. We passed the deal, coz the so-called 'brand' didn't seem to have the power coz of very high debtors days and was competing with Chinese brands. So basically, they import and give credit in the market and the product sells. Little did we know, how the story will unfold. How Chinese brands will be banned, how Make in India will work. It was a 10-12 Cr PAT business in 2015 and now clocking ~480 Crs PAT !!

One needs to be a Forensic and Governance expert to invest in Indian small caps :) - Cumulative reported profit not turning into operating cash - Revenues recognized, receivables shooting up, which never convert to profits. - Capex that never reached the fixed asset schedule - Assets parked outside the operating business, where related party transactions live - Asset turns which clearly indicate a trading business dressed as a manufacturing business. - Growth in loans and advances, to route IPO proceeds dressed as supplier advances The list goes on....

Last week my timeline was about Instinct and Muse. Am sure this week it will be Jev. This used to happen when a new tech /product come since once a quarter or a month...but now it is something new and exciting every week. The PACE. The work. The billions. There is a race, where 99% of the human population are mere spectators incl most VCs.

This is what a duopoly looks like. IndiGo has raised the prices of its add-ons: Excess baggage: 700 → 800/kg (+14%) Infant fee: 2,000 → 3,000 (+50%) Unaccompanied minor: 5,000 → 5,999 (+20%) Fast Forward: 500 → 650 (+30%) The ticket is just the beginning. IndiGo keeps charging you at every step. Passengers were taken for a ride last December amid all the cancellations and delays. IndiGo didn’t do much for passengers then.

Kids are suffering in this chaos. My child is stuck for 2 hours near Varthur lake. Heavy vehicles are allowed all the time in this zone where already there's no road. Who's responsible for the pain the young kids are going through on daily basis?
2+ hours. Every single day. That's how long kids from Whitefield spend on Varthur Road for a 5km commute. My own daughter is stuck right now as I post this. Whitefield deserves better than this. @blrcitytraffic @DKShivakumar @krishnabgowda @PCMohanMP @MALimbavali #Varthur

My son’s bus took 3 hours from Greenwood high to Yemalur. Its painful to see our children suffer due to incompetence of respective govt agencies.Horrible roads, inadequate cops managing traffic @DKShivakumar @CMofKarnataka
2.5+ hours to travel about 4km from school to home today for kids around Varthur and Gunjur. This is not a one off situation, happens almost every other day. International schools ,big IT companies & lakhs of people have been living in these conditions.

I cannot understand why no one is outraged in the Govt or municipal administration. Bangalore (most parts of it) is just a hell hole.

4 years ago we moved back from Sweden to India (Blr). We planned to survive Blr traffic stories by picking the school (Inventure) first & then closest housing society(PLH) near it.Had no idea that still this is how daily life will be @ndtv @krishnabgowda @blrcitytraffic #Varthur

Today feels different, in a nice way. One of my first investments at Motilal Oswal PE Fund called Glass Wall Systems has listed on the exchanges, 80 times oversubscribed. A big congratulations to the Promoters and the entire teams at GWS and MO Alternates. I know how painstaking it is to build a business, let alone doing an IPO. At the time, Façade and Fenestration solutions was not a space institutional PE money touched. It was the first PE investment in this space in India. Most people walk past a glass building and see architecture. What they don't see is the engineering underneath. A curtain wall glass panel on the 50th floor has to hold to under a few mm tolerance and still flex with wind load, expand and contract with heat, and seal against monsoon rain, for decades, without the building envelope failing. Each unitised panel, glass and aluminium frame together, can weigh ~250 kg. Getting that up to the 50th floor and locked into place with a few mm tolerance of error is not a job for a general contractor. It is specialised EPC work, and very few teams in India do it well. A big milestone for GWS. Onwards and upwards !
