Here is Boutros Boutros-Ghali - the Egyptian UN Secretary General who oversaw Eritrea’s 1993 independence and Ethiopia’s permanent loss of sea access. While serving as the world’s top diplomat, these are the decisions many Ethiopians still call biased 😡 Fast-tracked UN verification of a referendum held under full EPLF control 😡Treated the process as pure “decolonization” while ignoring Ethiopia’s strategic survival 😡Overrode the UN’s own 1950 resolution that had settled Eritrea’s status through federation with Ethiopia - reframing it instead as a colonial question 😡Ignored legitimate opposition from Eritrean minorities, including the Afar and Kunama, who opposed independence and whose complaints reached the UN 😡 Offered no binding guarantees for Ethiopia’s port access or trade routes 😡Recognized the new state before borders were properly settled 😡 Moved quickly to UN membership while long-term consequences for Ethiopia were left unaddressed 😡 Gave little institutional weight to Ethiopian warnings about future conflict and economic damage Result: Africa’s second-most populous nation became the world’s largest landlocked country overnight. Dear Eritreans and Shabia supporters, Let’s be honest. Many of you are suddenly very worried about the possibility of war. The concern is understandable but it is also a little late. Where was this energy when your government was busy supporting TPLF. Where were the loud voices when your government created the Tsimdo (ፅምዶ) Alliance ? Where were your voices when Awel Seid and others were giving those chest-thumping speeches? Cheering then, Panic now? You stayed silent while the fire was being lit. Now that the smoke is coming your way, you suddenly want to complain about Ethiopia. You cannot help start the fire and then cry when the smoke reaches your own house. Your government spent years to undermine Ethiopia. Now it looks scared and wants your support. How convenient. If you truly want peace, stop blaming Ethiopia and start putting real pressure on Isaias. At the very least 1️⃣ Ask him to immediately withdraws the remaining forces that were sent to support the criminal TPLF. 2️⃣ Ask him to publicly admit the invasion of Ethiopia, apologizes, and pays for the lives lost and the property destroyed. 3️⃣ Ask him to hand over the TPLF ring leaders who helped start the war that killed so many Ethiopians. 4️⃣ Ask him to stop giving weapons and support to groups that want to overthrow Ethiopia’s government. 5️⃣ Ask him to return all the looted Ethiopian property taken into Eritrea. 6️⃣ Ask him to stop acting as a tool for Ethiopia’s enemies and stays out of the GERD dispute with Egypt. 7️⃣ Ask him to order his cadres and supporters to stop spreading propaganda that tries to divide Ethiopians by religion and ethnicity If you push for these steps, the chance of avoiding war improves greatly. If you continue protecting the regime and his destructive policies while only blaming Ethiopia, then do not act surprised when Ethiopia decides to pursue the TPLF criminals wherever they hide, or recover the property that was stolen and taken across the border.   Ethiopia cannot keep bleeding for the Shabia’s endless games. Phd ማግኘት የጠቅላላ እዉቀት መመዘኛ ነዉ የሚል እምነት ባይኖረኝም Phd ለማግኘት በሚደረግ ዝግጅት አንድ ሰዉ ቢያንስ ብዙ መፀሀፍ ያነባል ፣ ለተለያዩ እምነቶችና አስተሳሰቦች እምሮዉ ክፍት ይሆናል፣ ብዙ የማያዉቀዉ ነገር እንዳለ ስለሚረዳ ጭምት ይሆናል፣ አፋን ከመክፈቱ በፊት ብዙ ያስባል ብዬ እጠብቃለሁ! እዉነት ለመናገር በአሁን ጊዜ በኢትዩጵያ ፖለቲካ ዉስጥ እጅግ ከምፀየፋቸዉ ግለሰቦች መካከል እንደ ዮናስ ብሩ አይነት ትምህርት ቤት ገብተዉ ያልተማሩ ፣ ዶክተር ኢንጂነር ምናምን የሚል ነገር የለጠፋ አርቆ ማሰብ የተሳናቸዉ፣ያስተማራቸዉን ምስኪን ህዝብ ከማገልገል ይልቅ በዉጭ ሀገራት እየተንከራቱ ፈረንጅ የሚያገለግሉ ወይም ስራ ፈተዉ የኢትዮጵያን ፖለቲካ የሚያቦኩ ግለሰቦች ናቸዉ! ያለቻቸዉንም ትንሽ እዉቀት የወገናቸዉን ችግር ለመፍታት ከሚጠቀሙበት ይልቅ ኢትዮጵያዉያንን በዘርና በሀይማኖት የሚከፋፍሉ ዉዳቂዎች ናቸዉ!
