Dear The all knowing, most Eternal Supreme Leader of Eritrea - Issayas Afewerki,
Before fixing the world, could you first hold an election, free the disappeared, end indefinite conscription, and allow an opposition to exist outside a cell?
Or is this report just the world hegemony trying to tarnish the image of the Dear Leader?
#Eritrea: UN experts call for end to decades of arbitrary detention & enforced disappearances. “In hundreds of cases, fate and whereabouts of persons deprived of their liberty remain unknown, inflicting anguish on families & communities.”

Did Eritrea violate Ethiopia’s sovereignty❓❓❓
Yes or no, Minister Yemane ❓❓❓
While you keep playing the same scratched "Potemkin Party" gramophone about Ethiopia, let's address what your talking points conveniently avoid - Eritrean forces crossed into Tigray, advanced deep into Ethiopian territory, and attempted linked up with the outlawed TPLF and the "Tsimdo" alliance.
International media accounts, local witnesses, drone footage, and independent monitors documented the alleged incursion. Yet your denial remains the one constant in an ever-changing narrative.
The irony is staggering. A regime that arms proxies, shelter TPLF fugitives, and treating Ethiopia's borders as optional now lectures the world about warmongering and territorial integrity. The hypocrisy would be comical if the stakes were not so serious.
So, one simple question for the broken record, Minister: Do you deny that Eritrean forces infiltrated Ethiopian territory, or are you hoping everyone will forget the truckloads of your soldiers that reached Adigrat to reinforce the TPLF forces, along with the weapons caches transferred and seized before they could be used against Ethiopians? BTW Ethiopia has all the receipts.
Scream, shout, and play the victim all you want. But you cannot violate a neighbor’s sovereignty, meddle in its internal affairs, and then expect it to sit quietly and applaud. This isn't your neighborhood playground, Minister! Ethiopia is not a doormat, and sovereignty is not a permission slip you can tear up whenever it suits you.
Ethiopia will defend its sovereignty. And the Horn of Africa deserves answers, not another performance of political denial.
The ritual is predictable and repugnant as ever!
Potemkin Party's broken gramophone has to emit- almost every other day - the same stale chorus.
Its senior political and military leaders have apparently been instructed to renew their loyalty pledges to the delusional project in some pre-arranged shift system - "ጸማም ሓደ ደርፉ!" እዩ እቲ ነገሩ።
For the umpteenth time, let us underline that the countries and peoples of the Horn do not deserve another cycle of war and turmoil that stem from, and are stoked by, the Potemkin Party's pipedreams of "grandeur" through brazen violation of the inviolable sovereignty and territorial integrity of its neighbors.
Nothing is more heartbreaking than watching innocent Ethiopians slaughtered simply because of their ethnicity or religion. Every life lost leaves behind shattered families and grieving communities. No one should live in fear because of who they are or what they believe.
These atrocities demand justice and above all, they demand that we ask a fundamental question - Who stands to benefit from this bloodshed?
There are certainly those eager to point fingers at the government, perhaps because doing so advances their own political ambitions. But shouldn’t our priority be to establish the truth rather than rush to politically convenient conclusions?
There are forces like EThiopia's strategic enemies that would welcome nothing more than seeing Ethiopia consumed by ethnic and religious divisions, dragged into sectarian conflict, and ultimately torn apart by civil war.
Should we not examine the motives and interests of those who stand to gain from such chaos, rather than allowing others to dictate where our suspicions should be directed?
Of course, the government bears the primary responsibility for protecting its citizens. It must be held accountable for security failures, negligence, and its inability to prevent these atrocities. But there is a fundamental difference between holding a government accountable for failing to protect its people and accusing it of deliberately orchestrating their deaths.
In my humble opinion, if asked to identify the most likely sponsors behind recent ethnically or religiously targeted killings, I would focus first on Ethiopia’s strategic enemies. The crimes may be carried out by Ethiopians on the ground, but the actors orchestrating and financing them from behind the scenes are, more often than not, the usual suspects.

The contrast between Ethiopia's northern neighbor, Eritrea, and its southern neighbor, Kenya, could hardly be more striking.
In Eritrea, Isaias Afwerki remains consumed by grandiose rhetoric, geopolitical obsessions, and ambitions that far exceed his country's capacity to shape regional events. Meanwhile, Kenya's William Ruto is focused on practical challenges, economic opportunities, and what Africans can achieve through their own initiative.
The difference is reflected in the realities surrounding them - persistent tensions and regional instability to the north, versus relative stability and economic dynamism to the south.
Ethiopia deserves neighbors focused on building the future, not a delusional leader trapped in the politics and grievances of the past.

President Isaias was in Moscow for the Russia-Africa Summit. In an interview with Sputnik, he made it abundantly clear he was “not coming from the vantage point of Eritrea and Eritrean interests because it has nothing to do with the reality on the ground.” One is at a loss what to make of such a statement coming, as it does, from a leader of an impoverished nation that spends most of its meager resources more to bankroll destabilizing campaigns throughout the region than in building badly needed clinics or schools.
Far from pursuing bilateral relations that could perhaps help improve the plight of his people, he has made it perfectly clear he is more interested in ‘righting the wrongs’ in the global financial system including addressing the containment policy against Russia than in taking care of bread and butter issues of the people of Eritrea. In light of President Isaias’ proclivities to punching above his weight, such grandstanding is not entirely out of character.
What’s so striking about his remarks in Moscow, however, his dismissal of the relevance of individual countries’ cases including that of Eritrea as agenda in the summit in Moscow called exactly to address Russia’s relations with African countries. Many on social media were commenting on President Isaias’ dejected look, with his hands loosely hanging by his waist, and looking confused and out of place. Indeed, for a casual observer, the Eritrean president cut a sad figure throughout the summit and appeared to have difficulty fitting in the hustle bustle in Moscow. But that’s beside the point.
The bottomline is President Isaias didn’t hold any bilats, didn’t address the gathering nor proffer his unsolicited views on global order to the Summit. He was just too bored to broach such silly subjects as Russo-Eritrean relations or Russo-African relations.
If anything, this is yet another admission by the Eritrean President for life that when it comes to his priorities as a leader it is the unfairness in the global order, not Eritrea’s national interest, that comes front and center. After all, Eritrea has always been too small a project for a president whose imperial overreach knows no boundaries.

The Ethiopian wants to build some standing for himself, so he talks about Egypt—but Egypt is far beyond your reach We will not allow any landlocked nation to establish ports on the #RedSea We will strike any illegitimate target—by land, sea, or air—and we will not permit any aggression against #Somalia or #Eritrea The era of colonial dreams has come to an end.

Sadly, this is textbook terminal victim complex. How can a nation operate with this degree of paranoia? unbelivable
Potemkin Party minions and war mongers seem unduly exhilarated by the purchase of 12 Su-35 jet fighters from Russia.
They believe, in the ominous words of their leaders, that this will indeed enhance the regime's capability for its "pre-emptive" war of aggression; oblivious to the legal and security quagmire that this will entail and the lessons from yesterday's history.
The Potemkin Party has indulged in a massive weapons purchase spree for a long time now as the link below demonstrates.
But massive re-armament will neither advance the PP's declared agenda of regional destabilization nor alleviate the dire sufferings of almost 70% of the Ethiopian population who live under abject poverty, classified as "multidimensionally poor" in accordance with standard economic metrics.
The country is also suffering from mushrooming internal chaos and spiraling strife - the upheaval in Moyale is the latest in the string of entrenched inter-communal conflicts - which stem from a dysfunctional governance architecture.
The Potemkin Party has got all its priorities wrong and, by all accounts, it will neither listen to the voices of reason nor retreat from the perilous path that it has chosen to tread.
