I was posted in Lashkar Gah, Helmand Province in 2010-2011 as part of Denmark’s support to ISAF - in response to the attack on the US on 9-11. Helmand saw 1/3 of all kinectic activity in Afghanistan. 43 Danish soldiers were KIA & more than 210 seriously wounded. #FactsMatter

I was a captain in Afghanistan, and we would go to the headquarters in Kabul, and there would be 50 flags at the headquarters.
It was a beautiful thing to see 50 different countries contributing to the NATO alliance and the ISAF mission there.
Except there were like maybe five that contributed. It was actually closer to one or two that, by the end, were actually involved in kinetic operations.
In fact, the ISAF patch, we would joke that it meant "I Saw Americans Fighting."

This week in Arua, #TeamEurope didn't just observe a youth programme — we sat inside one. Engaged with Young leaders from West Nile, hosted by @SensitiseUganda under PACER (DK🇩🇰🇸🇪🇮🇪🇳🇱 co-funded).
Youth under 30 = 70%+ of Uganda's population. They're not waiting to be included — they're organising, creating content, and engaging local authorities directly. That's the shift PACER backs
