As well as being brilliant and funny, Sharon Horgan’s “Youth” also has a great soundtrack. 10/10 for pitch-perfect deployment of Au Pays du Cocaine and Everything in Its Right Place in the opening episode

1/2 Anthropic's latest report on detecting misuse of AI contains this case of an anti-Muslim Brotherhood campaign by the UAE. It includes a sockpuppet network of 300 accounts. But they also produced smears against UN-special rapporteurs which had criticised UAE conduct in Sudan

This is such a gripping mystery and phenomenal feat of reporting by @suelinwong and Lian Buan. Read it and three other great 1843 pieces in our summer issue! (The one with a certain tech CEO on the front) economist.com/interactive/18… from The Economist

Deeply reported, stirringly written account of the fight over Cuba's medical missions, by @sarahmaslin. Does well what most stories on this don't: center the voices, and conflicted feelings, of Cuban doctors themselves. economist.com/interactive/18…
