Crikey. I’ve now had all my paid work for 2021 cancelled now until August. So, if anyone is looking for help with recipes or online cookery classes in particular, I’d love to talk.

My letter to The Times this morning. Today is a critical day for our food system as The Agriculture Bill comes back to the Commons.

I need your help. Politicians will soon be voting on the agriculture bill! This is our opportunity to act & show them how much we care about the food we buy & to #SaveOurStandards. YOU can email your MP to take action. Together we can make a difference jamieol.com/SaveOurStandards

Do order some cheese this weekend people. Mrs Kirkham’s Lancashire Cheese is so worth saving.
This is a fantastic piece which deserves to be in a national newspaper. If you do one thing for British food producers (and yourself) this weekend order some #cheese

The Food Programme isn't just about 'issues' - though it tackles these head on-it's also one of the most deeply human and life-enhancing programmes on radio. I am thinking of Dan Saladino's programme on pizza, which was like listening to music! What on earth are the BBC thinking?
For anyone who eats food - ie all of us - this pair are among the greatest heroes in Britain. Week after week, they beat the drum for good & delicious food for everyone. They also have the loveliest voices in radio. RT if you agree that life would be poorer without @BBCFoodProg

It’s really bloody good this book. It had me totally gripped. And made me sob noisily on a beach. Highly recommended (the book, not crying on beaches) 👍🏽 – at Paddington, London

Noam Chomsky, a world-renowned political analyst, explains the standard technique of privatisation:
* Defund
* Make sure things don’t work
* People get angry
* You hand it over to private capital
RT if that sounds sadly familiar to you and follow to fight against it

And lo, a brilliant piece of work sells. And sells. And sells. No matter the naysayers and the numbskulls forever “commenting”. So happy for Anna Burns, @FaberBooks and @LouisaJoyner 🙌 #LiteraryFiction

When we open ourselves to people’s needs and wants rather than looking to technology first, that’s when we win on the innovation front. Our first imperative is to make a difference to people’s lives, to add value. Innovation follows from that. #Futurebook40

There is a tide in the affairs of men,
Which taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and in miseries.
On such a full sea are we now afloat,
And we must take the current when it serves,
Or lose our ventures.

Are there any new food and drink businesses or #startups out there, who would be interested in a small event to meet potential investors? This will be nothing like Dragon's Den btw.
If so please DM. Also, please RT.
