When some asshole sneers at a nun in Israel, this is trending news on Twitter for days, but when Arabs mow down half a dozen Christians with machine guns inside a Church in Jordan, the usual suspects remain totally silent. Curious, don't you find?

Today is a mathematical date we won't see again for 78 years.
10/24/26
10² + 24² = 26²
It's called a Pythagorean Triple Day. There are infinitely many Pythagorean triples, but only 12 dates this century satisfy the equation.Today is the last.
Next one: March 4, 2105.

Many don’t yet grasp the seriousness of the French crisis. Markets have priced French debt as junk. The 10-year spread over German bunds has blown out to 174 bp, wider than Italy, Greece or Portugal, despite France’s AA-range S&P rating. The market concludes France’s fiscal arithmetic is broken and politically unfixable.
Public spending remains among the highest in the developed world (57% of GDP), an absurd tax burden already crushes growth potential, and the political system is paralyzed. Meaningful reforms have been impossible for years. When governments try, the unions and street response is rapid and often violent. Recent riots made the constraint explicit, any serious attempt to cut spending or raise the retirement age risks further unrest that damages business confidence, tourism and tax revenues. The short-term fiscal hit is already visible, the longer-term confidence channel is worse.
Higher borrowing costs compound the problem. Interest spending is set to exceed €90 billion next year, more than the defence or education budgets, and will keep rising as debt is refinanced at these spreads. That interest bill more than offsets any modest consolidation that might be legislated, widening the deficit and accelerating the debt-to-GDP ratio already near 120%. A ratings downgrade, which markets clearly anticipate, would raise funding costs for French banks, tightening credit, slowing growth and eroding tax revenues even further. That is the classic doom loop: higher yields → larger deficit → weaker growth and banks → even higher yields.
Rating agencies lag markets but will eventually follow the pricing. France lacks a governing majority capable of sustained fiscal adjustment without triggering further social paralysis and unrest. Until that changes, the market correctly treats French sovereign debt as much higher risk than its official rating implies. It is really difficult to imagine a scenario where France gets its act together and avoids a debt crisis taking down the entire eurozone with it. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

Super interesting paper suggesting lymph node protects plasma cells from ADCP. Might explain why TCEs and CAR-Ts work better in depleting B cells in lymph nodes.

Lyndon Johnson declared war on poverty in January 1964, and poverty promptly won.
The Office of Economic Opportunity launched that same year, spending $800 million in its first year alone. By 1980, the federal government had spent over $3 trillion (in today's dollars) across the constellation of Great Society programs: Medicaid, food stamps, housing subsidies, community action agencies, the whole apparatus. The poverty rate in 1964 sat at 19 percent. By 1973, it had fallen to 11 percent. Impressive, until you notice it was already falling at precisely that rate throughout the 1950s, before Johnson spent a single dollar.
The market was already doing the job.
What Johnson created was a dependency infrastructure. The Aid to Families with Dependent Children program paid higher benefits when no father lived in the household, which subsidized his departure.
Between 1965 and 1980, out-of-wedlock births among black Americans climbed from 25 percent to 56 percent. Charles Murray documented the numbers exhaustively in "Losing Ground" (1984), and the left never refuted the math; instead, they attacked Murray personally.
Bureaucracies administer poverty rather than eliminate it. Every dollar Washington sends to a poor family in Chicago passes through a federal agency, a state agency, a county office, and a caseworker's desk first. The machinery consumes a stunning share before anything reaches you.
Capital formation, voluntary exchange, and sound money pulled more people out of destitution in the 19th century than every federal program combined has since Johnson's cameras rolled in the Rose Garden.

So it turns out that Ukraine's issues with Starlink were caused by Ukraine.
Starlink terminals disconnected at speeds above 160 KPH, as determined by the Starlink terminals internal GPS.
To get around this, Ukraine hacked the Starlink terminals to think they were stationary regardless of speed.
SpaceX figured this out, and updated the system software to detect excessive speed by seeing how rapidly the terminal switched from on satellite to another. This broke Ukraine's hack, and Starlink would no longer work at high speeds.
Ukraine was using Starlink in a way that violated the terms of service.
Starlink figured it out and stopped it.

In 1952, a Marine lieutenant bought a small Mongolian mare from a young Korean stable boy for $250. The boy sold her because he needed money to buy an artificial leg for his sister.
The Marines named her Reckless, after their recoilless rifle platoon.
Her job was to carry heavy ammunition up steep hills to the guns. The Marines trained her to step over barbed wire, lie down under fire, and run into a bunker when shells started falling.
She learned fast. She also learned to eat everything: scrambled eggs, pancakes, Coca-Cola, beer, chocolate bars, and once, reportedly, a pile of poker chips.
In March 1953, during the Battle for Outpost Vegas, Reckless proved what she was made of.
In a single day, she made 51 trips up and down the mountain, mostly alone, carrying thousands of pounds of shells through enemy artillery fire. On the way back down, she often carried wounded Marines.
She was hit by shrapnel twice. She kept going.
The Marines promoted her to sergeant, then staff sergeant. She was awarded two Purple Hearts.
After the war, she came to America, lived at Camp Pendleton, and had foals of her own.
Life magazine named her one of America's 100 greatest heroes, alongside people like George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

$TGTX Briumvi in its two 2-year pivotal trials vs teriflunomide reduced relapse rate by 59% and 49% (and relapse rate kept dropping further each year in the multi-year extension study).
Novartis BTK drug reduced annualized relapse rates by only 35.2% and 31.2% compared with teriflunomide, so not competitive on efficacy (with usual warnings on cross-trial comparisons).
Roche BTK did better on efficacy, but liver tox worries.
Neither in my view pose a significant threat to Briumvi.
$TGTX as much as I like the AZER data & also how nothing was priced in - the MOVE in $TGTX today I am confident in has all to do with $NVS underwhelming data - as that was one of last bear thesis even BofA had kelo.com/2026/10/23/novartis…

One more comment here on $TGTX Azer-Cel. There are clear serious safety signals in this class (though fortunately none as of yet for this particular drug ). Thus I am doubtful you'd ever see wide use of this class in RRMS or diseases like Lupus. But Progressive MS is a different story, with a very different safety bar.
Progressive MS is a terrible disease with no approved treatments. Much smaller market than Relapsing Remitting MS (85% of patients), so from a purely stock price perspective this isn't going to be that big a driver for $TGTX, but very important for the patients.

$TGTX been around long enough to go thru few bear thesis with $TGTX - imho this was one of last ones that few was still shorts were hanging on to in the BTK class - imho - that concern was put to rest big time today
$TGTX the Roche BTK looks far better but it is not a competitor to Briumvi for RRMS:
$NVS vs. $RHHBY: The MS BTK Inhibitor Showdown at #MSToronto2026 🧠💊
Phase III data are out for both Novartis’s remibrutinib and Roche’s fenebrutinib (tested against Aubagio/teriflunomide in RMS). The head-to-head profile comes down to a clear trade-off: Relapse Efficacy vs. Liver Safety.
⚙️ MECHANISM & TRIALS
• Novartis (remibrutinib): Covalent, irreversible oral BTKi | Phase III REMODEL-1 & REMODEL-2
• Roche (fenebrutinib): Non-covalent, reversible oral BTKi | Phase III FENhance 1 & 2 (RMS) + FENtrepid (PPMS)
📉 ANNUALIZED RELAPSE RATE (ARR) REDUCTION
(Street expectations: 45%–60% needed to rival anti-CD20s like Ocrevus, Kesimpta & Briumvi)
• Roche: 55% reduction (pooled) | ~1 relapse every 17 yrs ✅ (Beat expectations)
• Novartis: 35.2% (REMODEL-1) & 31.2% (REMODEL-2) | ~1 relapse every 13 yrs ⚠️ (Missed Street expectations)
🎯 NEDA-3 (NO EVIDENCE OF DISEASE ACTIVITY)
• Roche: 75.0% (70% reduction in risk of not achieving NEDA-3 vs. comparator)
• Novartis: 55.0% (vs. 32.1% for comparator)
🧠 DISABILITY PROGRESSION & BRAIN VOLUME
• Novartis: ~30% delay in 6-month confirmed disability progression (6mCDP, nominal significance); over 92% of patients progression-free at 24 months
• Roche: 16% lower risk of 12-week composite confirmed disability progression (cCDP12) in RMS; 23% reduction in annual total brain volume loss; proven non-inferiority to Ocrevus in PPMS
🔬 MRI & LESION ACTIVITY
• Novartis: T2 lesions reduced by 65%–70%; Gd+ T1 lesions reduced by 66%
• Roche: Slowly expanding lesions (SELs) reduced by up to 30%; paramagnetic rim lesions (PRLs) reduced by 62%
🛡️ LIVER SAFETY PROFILE (The BTKi Class Hurdle)
• Novartis: CLEAN. Zero liver safety signal observed, no Hy's Law cases, and numerically fewer overall AEs (79.5% vs. 81.5%) and SAEs (6.0% vs. 7.0%) than teriflunomide
• Roche: ELEVATED RISK. Significantly higher liver enzyme elevations vs. comparator (likely requiring hepatic monitoring on label)
📌 REGULATORY & COMMERCIAL OUTLOOK
• Novartis: Already FDA-approved as Rhapsido in CSU & symptomatic dermographism; Phase III ongoing in SPMS (REMASTER). Est. $4B+ peak sales potential. Positioned as a best-in-class safe, convenient first-line oral without chronic B-cell depletion.
• Roche: Granted FDA Priority Review across both RMS & PPMS. Positioned as a high-efficacy oral powerhouse targeting both relapses and chronic "smoldering" neuroinflammation, balanced against liver monitoring requirements.
⚖️ THE VERDICT
Roche wins on headline relapse efficacy and broad RMS/PPMS reach, while Novartis wins decisively on hepatic safety—giving neurologists a choice between maximum oral potency and a clean, low-monitoring safety profile.

2. He will be a massive upgrade from RINO, John Cornyn.

$TGTX definitely some hope for these #MS patients with not many options Despite documented progression prior to enrollment, EDSS scores were stable or improved in 89% of evaluable participants at Day 90 (16/18) and 88% at Day 180 (7/8). Three participants achieved EDSS improvements of at least 2.0 points at Day 90, including one with a 4.0-point improvement.

$TGTX - Peter remember they all ready expanded to other indications AZER -cel (CD-19 CAR-T) – more than 20 PPMS (primary progressive MS) patients have been enrolled & trial expanded to include other indications (MG, CIDP, NMO or neuromyelitis optica) also PPMS yes smaller then MS but still lots of patients & complete unmet need PPMS accounts for roughly 10–15% of MS diagnoses (and a similar share of current cases). That corresponds to an estimated 310,000–465,000 people globally
