Valve is taking action against skinchanger services in Russia
According to Gabe Follower, Valve sent Touch Skins a pre-litigation demand to shut down its software and related services. The platform says it had no choice but to close.
🧐 Could this be the start of a wider crackdown?

Yesterday, we banned 2,899 accounts for platform abuse. The wave targeted accounts being prepared for sale, removed before they could be used to smurf or evade bans.

Microsoft is making a Windows 11 security feature more widely available, but could hurt gaming performance on some PCs around 5-10%
Starting in October 2026, Microsoft will begin enabling Memory Integrity (HVCI) on more compatible Windows 11 systems.
The feature is designed to make Windows more secure by protecting the system from malicious or vulnerable drivers but memory Integrity and VBS can use additional system resources and reduce gaming performance.
Previous testing has found an average gaming performance loss of around 5%, Some older CPUs losses of 10% or more in some tests.

Microsoft confirms Windows 11 will run significantly better on 8GB RAM PCs.
Instead of adding Copilot and other new AI features to Windows, Microsoft has made it clear that it'll focus only on performance and quality upgrades.
For years, Windows 11 has felt heavier than it should, especially on cheaper laptops that still ship with 8GB RAM.
Whether you open Teams, Outlook, Widgets, Edge WebView2 apps, or a few browser tabs, suddenly the “modern” Windows 11 experience starts feeling like punishment.
Now Microsoft says it is reducing the Windows memory footprint for PCs with 8GB RAM and above.
It also says app launches, Start, File Explorer, Search, Snipping Tool, boot, logon, Windows Hello, WinUI 3, Chromium, and WebView2 components are all getting performance and memory work.
Windows is so back, and 2026 will be the greatest year for the operating system!
