It’s true, yellow packaging is back. It’s also true, that’s not enough. Consider this a sign of change to come.

GameStop CEO @ryancohen wants to win. I sat down with him and he explained how AI is changing work and hiring, his concerns about where humans fit in an automated future, and the rise of the retail investor. We also discuss Neuralink, how he talks to shareholders, his biggest failure, and the legacy he wants to leave. $GME YouTube: youtube.com/watch?v=dDTSElQ0… Spotify: open.spotify.com/episode/74i… Apple: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas… TIMESTAMPS: 0:00 - Intro 0:30 - AI risks & how GameStop uses AI 3:04 - How Ryan spends his time 6:05 - Hiring in the age of AI 7:45 - Why Ryan wants to learn Chinese 8:55 - Robots, UBI & human utility 13:53 - Neuralink & brain-computer interfaces 17:50 - Retail investors vs Wall Street 21:10 - Greatest strengths & weaknesses 23:05 - Shareholder communication & ignoring the noise 28:04 - Biggest failure 29:45 - Legacy & final thoughts

Maybe we should start a competitor to Amazon 🤔
amazon is blocking grok @bots from ordering, and elon's answer is just have your bot buy it somewhere else. one of my grok bots only handles my amazon returns, so i'm watching this one closely. would you switch stores for your bot? 🛒 Elon, i think its time for an X Shop? 👀

The whole world will watch this
The only other person who’s ever made me this excited about a product unveil was Steve Jobs. Watching him introduce the first iPhone is a huge part of why I fell in love with technology. Elon brings that feeling back for me, but honestly, I think he takes it to a whole different level. Tomorrow, he and the Tesla team are unveiling the next-gen Roadster, and I seriously cannot wait. The Roadster they showed in 2017 already promised 0–60 mph in 1.9 seconds. Since then, Elon has talked about a Tesla–SpaceX collaboration, having it fly, and getting that time below ONE second, and calling it “the least interesting part” of the car. How do you say something like that and expect me NOT to be excited?! But beyond how fast it goes, I want to see something that makes me sit there and say, “Wow… how in the world did they build that?” I honestly don’t know what they’re going to show us, and that’s part of what makes this so much fun. I really want to be surprised and see the unthinkable. These days I feel many older people don’t get that excited about things… I only see that spark in kids. But imo, we should still get excited about people building cool things. We should still root for the nerds, engineers, and designers trying to do something that has never been done before. And I hope there’s a kid watching tomorrow who feels what I felt watching Steve Jobs introduce the iPhone. Someone who sees this car and starts wondering how it works, sketching their own ideas, or thinking about what they could build someday. I hope y’all are ready to have your minds blown. I’m rooting for you, Elon, and the entire Tesla team behind this car. Go give us a night we’ll never forget!

A fun game in times like these is to go to the S&P 500 Index and see how many profitable companies one can buy with the bubble private company valuation. The number that Anthropic’s valuation buys is 78, including Domino’s, Clorox, Smucker, Stanley Black & Decker, Deckers, lululemon, McCormick, Tractor Supply, NVR, Albemarle, FedEx Freight, News Corp, Alllian Energy, Kimco Realty, Hormel Foods, Clorox, Weyerhauser, DaVita, Zimmer Biomet, Lennox, Masco, A.O. Smith, MGM, Wynn, Brown-Forman, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Hungtington Ingalls, and many more. The largest inflation adjusted valuation at pre-IPO of 1990-2000 was UPS at $119 billion, 92 years old at the time. That was 26 times earnings at a net margin of about 8.6%, 2.4x sales.

BBB(YQ) Hearing 10/06/26 There was to be a fuller hearing today on several matters, but the big ones have been resolved in the meantime so no arguments needed to be heard today (good!): Erin Gray said today (smiling broadly) that she will submit a supplemental order about this later today, but that resolution has been reached for "the whole end of this saga of the 26th Omnibus Objection." The Plan Administrator's 26th Omnibus Objection to Claims (the hitherto-only-partially satisfied Texas tax claims) has been COMPLETELY RESOLVED (see attached docket image from Kroll). IMO this is significant! These remaining claims have stood unresolved since November 2025 (almost a year), and tax issues under 11 U.S.C. § 1129 and § 507 are important to get out of the way for case resolution. I've been personally watching and waiting for these to get resolved, so I'm very glad they're now in the rearview mirror. The reason I was always skeptical of this unresolved Objection was because of the way it stemmed from a scheduling and documentation error, and apparentneglect for many months to correct it. It always seemed to me something being left to be resolved toward the end, perhaps to allow things to look less-surmountable than they actually always were. Now that it's done with, TO ME it may mean last roadblocks are suddenly being cleared for timing. The 35th Omnibus Objection to claims (reclassified Priority claims) has ALSO been resolved since a consent order was received from Sun Life and Health Insurance Co. No unresolved objections remain, Erin Gray said she'll submit a supplemental on this too today. These Priority claims needed to be reclassified for correct order among other claims based on the Absolute Priority Rule. Again this was a necessary step for this case on the road to resolution. Individual claim resolutions can be ongoing for years, but proper classification according to APR and pro rata class calculations need to be settled in order for Waterfall/disbursements to occur. Also, this process narrows down unknowns for the Acquirer as unknown/less-known obligations to certain classes get sorted into more-known/more-certain possible allocations for distribution. The only adjourned matter for today was the 34th Omnibus Objection (reclassified Admin Claims, docket 4758). It's just a single claim remaining from Salesforce, Inc. and it's up for hearing on October 20th.
