Today, @FlexSuperApp, raised $70M Series B1 to launch The Full Financial Home for Business Owners. Making Flex officially a unicorn.
Led by @RyanQualtrics and @ryanjsweeney’s @halo_fund, with participation from existing investors.
And we're introducing Flex Global.
Mark Zuckerberg: failure doesn’t matter.
“The question is how much you win, when you win.”
“@WalterIsaacson wrote this biography of Einstein. One of the interesting things were all the theories he had that were wrong.”
“People don’t remember those.”
“We’re all going to get a lot of stuff wrong, what matters are the intellectual and cultural contributions we make that help push stuff forward.”
“We have a resilient company that is not afraid of failure.”
“That allows us to take some big swings and tolerate being ridiculed for long periods of time.”
“If you’re trying to do something that’s really new, people have to think it’s ridiculous. If they didn’t, someone else would’ve already done it.”
“In creation, the upside is infinite.”
“If you build something that hundreds of millions, or billions of people like, then that makes up for a lot of ideas that didn’t end up working.”

We’ve spent the last few months building the next major expansion of Flex.
In the coming days, we’ll reveal what’s next.
A new way to move, manage, and spend money is coming to Flex.
The coolest thing about building Flex is the number of interesting businesses we help.
Flex helped finance the private jet interior buildouts of a tier 1 rapper.
A very cool business: VIP Completions.

If you’re local there and want to own a PNL, this is for you.
We’re expanding Flex globally and hiring Growth Leads to own key markets around the world.
You’ll work directly with our Head of Global @randombankguy to:
> grow Flex in your region
> onboard new businesses

If you’re a former banker, fintech operator, or deeply connected in your market, we want to hear from you.

Proud to share Flex has 4x'd its annualized total payment volume (TPV) since the end of 2025, adding $10B in just a quarter.
Grateful for our team's ambition and velocity!
We are hiring. Come join one of the most cracked teams in all of tech today.
We hit a new milestone at @FlexSuperApp: $20 billion in annualized payment volume.
We ended 2025 at $5B, reached $10B just four months later, and have already doubled again to $20B.
We’re incredibly grateful to our customers for continuing to trust Flex and making this growth possible.
On to $50B, then $100B, then $1T.
Day 1. Barely scratched the surface of our multi decade vision.
another insane month at @FlexSuperApp.
we’re consistently hitting $500k revenue days and adding seven figures in new ARR every week.
demand is growing so quickly that our onboarding team physically can’t keep up with the volume of applications.
we’ve never had this much revenue, profit, cash on hand, and brand momentum.
the craziest part is that we’re still launching six more products before the end of the year, all designed to expand our banking suite:
> stablecoin payments
> flex elite (5% cash back on personal spend)
> flex travel & points program
> payment processing
paired with our existing suite of:
> flex net 60 credit cards
> reward cards
> business banking
> AP/AR
> AI CFO
the vision is much bigger than building another business bank:
we’re building one financial home where founders can manage both their business and personal finances.
the next four months are going to be absolutely insane.

tl;dr — thank you @vmg, @TomasReimers, @gregfoster996, and @MerrillLutsky for making Origin possible
…my personal origin story with Origin...
Two years ago my co-founders @ai_luce and @robbiefigs and I began an M&A process for our fintech, Maza. We poured our heart and soul into it, helping hundreds of thousands of immigrants get financial services, stay tax-compliant, and start businesses. We raised over $20 million across a few rounds.
We ultimately joined forces with @FlexSuperApp and the indomitable @zaidrmn. At Flex I focused on infrastructure and growth while my co-founders jumped into program management, compliance, and investor relations. We took a high-slope business and somehow made the slope even steeper.
But personally I was starting to feel some distance from fintech and our customers. I’d been experimenting with dev tools constantly, and pretty randomly an email landed from @gregfoster996 about working with @graphite, which had just raised a massive Series B.
I’d used Graphite in the early days and saw a massive leap from the company I remembered. I met Greg shortly after and decided to interview for their first external eng management hire. I’d been saying for a while that the next bottleneck would be code review and verification, and Graphite seemed best positioned to solve it.
What sold me was the people. Greg had assembled a killer team of motivated engineers in NYC. My peers would be @_nicholas_yan and @kushxg — leaders wise beyond their years. I met Greg’s co-founders @TomasReimers and @MerrillLutsky, both of whom carried an intensity I knew was a prerequisite to winning the startup game.
Then came the @Cursor acquisition. Once Graphite became part of Cursor we got hard at work building Origin, a full-fledged git forge designed for agentic scale. Companies everywhere are drowning in the volume of code agents are writing, and more of them are moving to monorepos so agents can make cross-cutting changes in one place. Origin is built for that world.
Through Cursor we met the incredible @vmg, who architected the powerful and performant distributed system behind Origin. Working with and learning from a truly one-of-a-kind engineer like him has been a joy. We’ll share more architecture details soon but just know, @vmg is the GOAT when it comes to git and systems engineering.
And somehow, through this process, Cursor itself was acquired by @SpaceXAI — an acquisition I personally believe will forever change AI and humanity’s destiny across the stars. But for now, my team and I are focused on building the most performant and most reliable git forge in the world, ready for agentic usage.
Anyhow, this is a long-winded way of saying thank you to everyone who’s been on the path to launching Origin. Please check it out and try it.

Travis Kalanick on VCs vs operators: "don't tell Michael Jordan how to dunk"
"A super high bar for a VC is do no harm. There's a lot of reasons why that's hard for a VC. Everybody wants to make a mark on the world."
"The way I think about it is, if an operator is good, they're a grandmaster of chess. And that grandmaster is playing 60-80 hours a week. He really knows this thing, knows many moves ahead, sees things other people don't see."
"The VC is a chess enthusiast. They check in on the match once every three months. And they're trying to make a mark. 'Hey, why don't you do this or that?'"
"Don't go to Jordan and tell him how to dunk. And definitely don't tell him how to dribble."
"If you're not in the thing all the way, every day, 12-16 hours a day, it ain't a thing. But that's a hard thing for most people to take who aren't running sh*t."
"VCs are glamorized, and they have a seat at the table."
"he way to think about it is you're on the Serengeti. If an antelope limps, the lion will take it down, even if it's not hungry. Can't even f*cking help it. And that's the nature of most VCs. If you are on the Serengeti and limping, you will be eaten. And the lion doesn't even know why sometimes. It's just like, this is what I do."
