Incredible moment where Suella Braverman inadvertently admits the absurdity of the UK asylum system.

OMG. This speech by Belgian PM @alexanderdecroo on the rule of law crisis is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Listen to every word. He says it all. Perfectly. 👇
The recent attack on the European Court of Justice is unacceptable.
The European Union is a union of values, not a cash machine. You cannot pocket the money but refuse the values.

Judicial review is fundamental to individual liberty and a fair and balanced rule of law.
The Government’s proposals to restrict judicial review go against these conservative principles.

One of the most shameful statements I've ever seen from an EU official. The autocrat Orban passes a horrible anti-LGBTI law (to stoke hatred & division & to distract from his theft of EU funds & other scandals) & Commission spokesman talks about need for balance in such laws?
MUST WATCH The EU Commission spokesperson for the #RuleofLaw excuses Hungary’s anti-LGBTI propaganda law, de facto assuaging far-right, homophobic policies in the EU

I just want to say — what a powerful contribution @UnchainedP. I have never listened to someone who has gone through the justice system, and you’ve really reshaped my understanding of the issue (and inspired me in the process!). Thank you!
Fantastic start by @JudeKelly_ and @HelenaKennedyQC in the @ROHfestival’s event on the question: “is there justice in the justice system?”. Law students interested in human rights and justice, I’d recommend following @ROHfestival and keeping up to date with their events.
It has been announced that the 'big six' premier league football teams will join the new European Super League. Given the shockwaves this has sent through the football community, I thought I'd put together a short thread setting out the legal issues involved. /1
The bad news for football fans is that this essentially means that UEFA has no leverage, meaning the creation of the ESL will probably go ahead. On this, I share football fan's grief. /7

Is there anything more deserving of protest than a plan to infringe the right to protest?
