When you can vibe code almost anything in a few hours, we spent most of ours with civil servants and support officers working out what to build. big love to my new mates @Mappletons @hturan @meandvan @yellowcommandr ❤️

was really cool, and a bit bizarre, to spend two days at @10DowningStreet 🇬🇧 1500 applied for this hackathon, 35 got in, and our team came runners-up 🥈 (peep our K-pop group pic 🪩)
we built a self-serve agent for people who only find out about a minor offence, like a missing TV licence, once they've been convicted.
great to see @UKCivilService pushing practical AI to make citizens' lives better, and stoked to have played a small part in it. thanks to our judges @AntoniaRomeoUK & co, @davidgelberg and the No10 Innovation Fellowship team for making it happen 🫰🏽

Here's our demo from the gov.uk hackathon!
A self-service agent that helps people deal with "single justice procedures" (small crimes like speeding). Currently done manually by phone, could easily be an always-on agent

Spent the last two days hacking at Downing St with this wonderful team.
Building agentic systems to help solve small inefficiencies in the justice system. Of course just prototypes but still realistic and implementable. Learned a lot. Very cool to be the heart of Westminster.

🚨 Anthropic just showed a 27-minute workshop on how to actually do prompts for Claude.
Taught by the people who built it.
Free. No registration. No paywall.
I've seen $300 courses that don't cover what they teach in the first 8 minutes.

Simulating human behavior with AI agents promises a testbed for policy and the social sciences. We interviewed 1,000 people for two hours each to create generative agents of them. These agents replicate their source individuals’ attitudes and behaviors. 🧵arxiv.org/abs/2411.10109

📢Thrilled to introduce the #VirtualLab: a team of AI scientist agents (AI chemist, AI reviewer...). Virtual Lab is led by an AI professor w/ feedback from human scientist.
The Lab created new nanobodies that we experimentally validated to bind to recent #covid variants🚀🧵

ALT 4 panel cartoon - a green man digging through a treasure chest. "I've finally found it, after 15 years", he begins. "The documentation!" he finishes with a flourish, whipping a scroll out of the chest to read it. It says "To Do, fill this out with more details later.". "Nyeah!!" he says with disgust, throwing away the scroll

5. Design systems should be accessible to everyone.
Instead of shunting people to a documentation site, why not lead with a conversation? Make yourself accessible to your contributors, and they’ll feel welcome, valued, and empowered.
