The under-attribution of women’s contributions to science is well known & well studied. A measure of under-attribution is the under-citation of papers authored by women relative to expected rates. In a new @NaturePhysics paper we explore this citation gap in contemporary physics.

the problem with tech that gets hyped too fast in all directions is that the critiques and backlash come in at the same velocity, and then both the hype and the critique can cancel out more nuanced and grounded practices around the tooling developing

I actually think this notion of biomimicry is a trap. If we design and organize through practices which mutually regenerate ourselves and the earth, we aren't mimicking anything. No metaphor nor analogy. We are just being a part of the earth, not trying to pass as part of it.
