this is a super interesting dataset! I wanted to see it as a semantic map so I put it through latent scope and made an interactive article exploring the topics by how they cluster

Following the amazing reaction to the Marble Curriculum yesterday, we've decided to make it open source 🛰️👇
Everything a child learns in primary school. 1,590 concepts. 3,221 connections across 8 subjects, from Math and Science to Computing and Life Skills. Anchored in the US and UK curriculums, standard by standard (NGSS, Common Core, DfE).
What you will find in the repo: every concept as structured JSON with its age band and the evidence a child must show to master it. Every prerequisite link marked hard or soft, with a written rationale. It's a true DAG you can compute learning paths on. Open license, you can build whatever you want with it.
Now is a unique time in history to be building in education. Getting AI and kids education right is likely one of the hardest and most important problems to crack over the next decade and we need as many smart and creative minds behind it.
We think a common solid basis, accessible to all and that can be built upon, is critical to move fast. That's why we're making this curriculum open source.
It's not perfect but we know it's a robust basis, and we believe that sharing it openly is the fastest way to progress in this field. If you're building in education, share this around you and tell us in comments if you find this useful and if you want to contribute.
We'll keep working and investing on it @withmarbleapp. Credit goes to @guillaume_boni for building this. I just made it look pretty.

Amazing work Ian! This is super cool!
I'm excited to release Latent Scope 1.0!
Thanks to Fable clearing 2 years of backlog, you can now point your workhorse model at a directory of images, a text corpus or even existing RAG db and get back an interactive map for looking at your data through the eyes of a transformer.
Latent Scope started as a set of scripts with a frontend to try and make it less tedious to run the process of projecting & clustering embeddings. Now we let agents do the tedium and the library is essentially a skill that reliably outputs data maps that you can explore.
In this release we enabled a ton of stuff, starting with performance increases by switching the backend to @lancedb and enabling cuML GPU acceleration. We added support for images, and late interaction (ColBERT models) as well as 3D UMAP support. We also added @leland_mcinnes new EVoC clustering method. All that is topped off with a skill definition and an Impeccable powered UI revamp.
See the thread for more videos and demos!

7-yr old drew his Time Machine on a paper. It has keypads, and calendars with months, days and time. I told him that’s exactly what I do for work 😂
Love it! Great stuff Andrei!
Asked ChatGPT to create a "copilot for CLI", where I can enter plain English query and get Mac OS command. Took me less than an hour to build this (without knowing anything about OpenAI API and limited shell scripting) 😃

One way to see AI is that it is a natural Language User Interface that allows human to express their intentions and AI can “translate” that to computer to execute. That is a next biggest evolution after Graphic User Interface(GUI). I am excited for the potential it brings
Congratulations Kent! Can’t wait to see the amazing work!
After 4 years of #research, #writing, and drawing, I'm excited to be reviewing the final proofs for my upcoming #UX book, #Drawing Product Ideas. Thanks to everyone in the community who supported this effort.

This is awesome! Congratulations @syntagmatic and @KentTheHuth
A step-by-step guide to improving a chart design by applying WCAG accessibility principles. Finally publishing some of my work at Google with @KentTheHuth! Hoping to release some of our Heatlane code examples soon too smashingmagazine.com/2022/07…
This interactive article shows the true potential of the media. Should have the entire Wikipedia like this.

First draft-quality prototype is assembled. Tomorrow we're going to be creating a test production version that includes higher end materials, a stylish clear visor and heavier, more durable plastic. Please dm me if you're on the front lines and are accepting supply donations.
