✈️ WATCH: Israeli Comedy Show Eretz Nehederet Turns Flydubai Terror Attack Into Hilarious “Fauda in the Skies” Parody Featuring Hero Israeli Plumber
Israel’s Eretz Nehederet has given the Flydubai hijacking ordeal the Fauda treatment. Its sketch, “Fauda in the Skies,” draws on the story of Yaniv Hayoun, the Israeli plumber who helped thwart the attack.
Comedian Eran Zarachovitz impersonates Lior Raz as a plumber turned action hero, calling for wrenches to overpower the terrorist. Then, in the middle of the airborne rescue, he announces that he needs to get a part from his car.
The show promoted the spoof with a suitably reassuring caption: “The skies have never been safer.”

This might be the most useful paper on AI agents this year.
A team at Wavestone AI Lab took apart Claude Code, Codex and 9 more and found the 7-part blueprint every good agent is built on.
Their definition: an agent is a model plus a harness. All 11 agents build the harness from the same 7 parts. Only the size changes.
> Loop: Mini-SWE-Agent is a plain while loop. OpenHands logs every event so a run can be replayed
> LLM layer: one prompt template on one side, 29 provider profiles on the other
> Tools: some agents only have bash, the biggest has 43 typed tools loaded on demand
> Memory: from keep-the-whole-history to notes the agent maintains across sessions
> Safety: from a simple step limit to policy rules plus a reviewer model plus an OS sandbox
> Orchestration: Aider skips sub-agents on purpose, others fork them with their own context
> Extensions: hooks, skills and MCP. SKILL.md is in 9 of 11, MCP in 8
The paper ends with a 90-line harness covering all 7 parts, a solid starting point for your own.
Key pages:
> p.4: the 7-part map
> p.12: the 3 loop types, with Claude Code and Codex as examples
> p.53: why none of them use frameworks or embeddings
> p.67: 18 design recommendations
> p.71: the 90-line harness you can copy

🇮🇱 Israel’s fingerprints are all over the evolution of the iPhone, through to the Apple Duo revealed today.
Many people have no idea how deeply Israeli technology and engineering have contributed to Apple’s products.
Apple acquired several Israeli technology companies and built major R&D operations in Herzliya and Haifa, particularly around semiconductors, imaging, sensing and storage.
Among the Israeli connections spanning iphone generations:
📱 PrimeSense: Israeli 3D-sensing pioneer acquired by Apple in 2013. Its technology and engineers helped build Apple’s capabilities in depth sensing and the technologies associated with TrueDepth and Face ID.
💾 Anobit: Israeli flash-memory company acquired by Apple in 2012. Its expertise became important to Apple’s storage architecture. Apple hardware chief Johny Srouji has said that Apple storage controllers are developed in Israel.
📷 LinX Computational Imaging: Israeli camera startup acquired in 2015. It specialized in miniature multi-camera systems and computational photography, technologies that became increasingly important as iPhone cameras evolved.
👤 RealFace: Israeli facial-recognition and AI company acquired in 2017, adding Israeli computer-vision expertise to Apple.
🔦 LiDAR and depth sensing: Apple’s Israeli engineering teams have played important roles in the sensing technologies used to map depth and space.
🎬 Cinematic Mode: Apple has also credited its Israeli R&D operation with technology contributing to the sophisticated imaging and depth capabilities behind features such as Cinematic Mode.
🧠 Apple silicon: Israel has become one of Apple’s important semiconductor R&D centers, with engineers working on custom silicon and hardware technologies used across Apple products.
This is bigger than a handful of acquisitions.
Apple took Israeli startups, engineers and technologies and built a major long-term R&D presence in Israel focused on some of the hardest problems in mobile technology: chips, cameras, sensing, storage and communications.
You may never see “Made in Israel” printed on an iPhone.
But Israeli innovation has helped make the iPhone what it is today. 🇮🇱🍎

THE SEMICONDUCTOR ECONOMY INSIDE THE IPHONE 17 PRO
It's really wild to see how one $AAPL iPhone 17 Pro is essentially a semiconductor economy in your pocket with 12 companies each capturing a different piece of the compute, connectivity, power, sensing and materials stack:
1. $TSM manufactures Apple's A19 Pro processor on its most advanced chipmaking technology turning Apple's chip designs into physical silicon at massive scale.
2. $AVGO supplies RF front end components and wireless charging technology (though Apple's new N1 chip displaced Broadcom as primary Wi-Fi & Bluetooth supplier this generation).
3. $GLW supplies cover glass and Ceramic Shield so essentially the material layer protecting the display and back panel.
4. $QCOM supplies Snapdragon X80 modem in the Pro models which is the last generation before Apple's C2 takes over and reason it stayed is mmWave support that Apple's own C1X lacks.
5. $STM supplies chips used around Face ID, cameras & power management helping Apple control sensors and photographic hardware.
6. $NXPI supplies connectivity controllers including NFC, secure payment hardware and USB Type C control helping iPhone communicate with accessories and contactless systems.
7. $CRUS supplies audio and power chips that help drive the speakers, microphones and other audio functions while efficiently managing power delivery.
8. $TXN supplies analog and power chips used for battery charging, camera flash control and display power so basically managing how electricity moves through parts of the phone.
9. $ADI supplies power conversion and charging chips that regulate voltage and make sure different parts of the phone receive right amount of electricity.
10. $SONY supplies CMOS image sensors, the physical light-capture hardware behind every camera on the phone.
11. $QRVO supplies RF front end modules that filter and amplify cellular signals so the phone can communicate efficiently across different frequency bands.
12. $SWKS supplies additional RF components used to strengthen and manage wireless signals between iPhone and cellular networks.

JUST IN: President Trump Posts Picture of $INTC Intel Share Price
President Trump posted the following on Truth Social:
"I do this for our Country, not myself. I’ve made Hundreds of Billions of Dollars on Stocks, and many other type Holdings, for the U.S.A., not myself, and all I do is get criticized by the Radical Left Dumocrats. Very unfair, but what can you do! President DONALD J. TRUMP"
The image attached to the post shows him at the Resolute Desk in front of four monitors. Two of the screens display Intel:
BOUGHT: INTEL $20
NOW: $95
The prices in the image line up with the actual government entry (~$20 in August 2025) and Friday’s close ($95.80).
This is not the first time he has used Intel specifically in a post. Prior Truth Social posts have cited gains on the same holding, including a claim that the United States made more than $30 billion on Intel in 90 days, and a later post tracking the company’s market value from about $100 billion to more than $600 billion.
Trump is clearly watching the stock like a hawk. It is his scoreboard.

Dyson trained an AI on 470,000 dental images and put it inside a toothbrush. With a camera. That flosses for you. In real time.
It's called the CameraJet for $499. Launched today.
A 100,000-pixel macro lens sits inside the brush head. It takes 28 images per second while you brush. The AI detects gaps between your teeth and within 100 milliseconds fires a precision jet of mouthrinse directly into the gap.
It's computer vision doing your flossing. While you brush. Automatically.
Only Dyson would look at a toothbrush and think it needs a camera, a machine learning model, and a jet engine.
Starting today, 10,000 scientists across every field, from math to chemistry to physics and more, can get Claude through our new Claude Team plan for scientists. Standard seats are free, and premium seats with 5x usage limits are $15 per month, an 80% discount, for one year.
Claude is becoming increasingly capable of scientific work, with recent progress on problems from advanced physics calculations to protein design. Alongside that progress, we've been investing in the research community: Claude Science launched in June, and our AI for Science program funds high-impact projects with free credits. Today's expansion builds on both.
Principal investigators (or equivalent) at academic and nonprofit research institutions can sign up, then add the researchers in their group. Over the coming months, we plan to extend the program well beyond the initial 10,000 seats.

I still don't understand why everyone is not using this yet. Thanks to it, a year ago I increased my income to 17,000 dollars a month
Andrey Karpathy, co-founder of OpenAI, published a simple idea that got 16 million views: stop using AI to write code, use it to build a second brain
You point Claude Code to a folder, drop any source in there (an article, transcript, PDF) and Claude reads it, links it, and saves it into a living wiki of everything you know. It compounds like interest: the more you feed it, the smarter it gets
Here is the gist:
Install Obsidian, create a vault, open it in Claude Code
Paste the file with Karpathy's wiki idea and tell Claude to build it
Claude creates three folders: raw for sources, wiki for its pages, CLAUDE
which runs everything
Drop any source into raw and say "ingest this"
Ask questions across everything, forever
Five minutes to set up, and you never start with an empty chat again

$INTC Intel has 3 talks at Hot Chips 2026 this week
Wildcat Lake (Core Series 3)
Speaker: Lance Hacking
- Potentially addl. details on the new client CPU architecture, core design, power efficiency, and how it fits into the next wave of PCs and edge devices.
Diamond Rapids (next gen Xeon)
Speakers: Akhilesh Kumar and Krishnakanth Sistla
- Looking for core counts, memory bandwidth upgrades, platform changes, and how it positions Intel against the competition in DCAI workloads.
Crescent Island (agentic AI inference GPU)
Speakers: Sumit Mohan and Hong Jiang
- Intel’s dedicated inference play. Should cover architecture, performance targets, power efficiency, and how it aims to compete in the growing agentic AI and inference market.
These talks almost always touch process node progress, advanced packaging, and manufacturing readiness. Watching for that language and hopefully some more exciting progress updates.
Hot Chips is architecture deep dive territory so I do expect real technical details on cores, packaging, memory bandwidth and power rather than big marketing launches.
Intel almost always releases the full presentation slides after their talks. In many years they also expand the more significant ones (especially the Xeon sessions) into longer technical papers later. Hope to see the slides drop relatively quickly after the conference.
Also presenting are Nvidia (Vera CPU and Rubin GPU), AMD (MI400), IBM, Arm, Fujitsu, Google, Microsoft and others.
Full program runs Aug 23rd to 25th at Stanford.
