Falcons vs PARIVISION in the BLAST Bounty final
Stats for the whole event on the graphic.
PARIVISION actually creates slightly more kill opportunities per round, but Falcons are much better at converting them.
The difference in efficiency is not small:
Falcons get about 0.11 more kills per round from basically the same chances.
If Falcons keep converting like they have all tournament, it’s going to be really hard for PARIVISION to keep up, even if the rounds stay close.
xK says this final is tight.
Efficiency says Falcons have the edge.
In this post, I will break down Vitality’s performance against Virtus pro using xK (expected kills) and xD (expected deaths) to show how much of their win came from overperformance.
Key takeaways from the graphic:
- ZywOo and mezii clearly overperformed, each of them having ~+7.5 kills above xK
- apEX had the lowest fragging impact (–1.19 kills less than expected), but compensated by surviving ~5.5 deaths fewer than expected
-flameZ recorded both the highest deaths and the largest negative xD differential
This metric goes beyond raw K/D and takes into account positioning, weaponry, HP, and shot difficulty, giving a better picture of how “deserved” the result actually was.
