I built a desktop app that keeps your Mac awake only while you're physically in front of it and lets it sleep the second you walk away.
I wanted to fix the way macOS sleep works. It's so dumb; it drove me a bit crazy having to touch it every time to avoid the screen dimming and Mac sleep.
Linger only works if you are in front of your Mac. It keeps your Mac awake only while you're physically in front of it. You enrol your face once; only you keep it alive.
It's called Linger because your Mac should stick around exactly as long as you do. Do you want your computer to know you are in front of your screen and not go to sleep? Done. Do you want it to stay awake because your agent is working? You can also lock it in "Always on" mode.
