If I had a dollar for every time I heard “people are allergic to saying he’s bad” I’d have enough dollars to cure allergies en masse

I think he's still a good QB but people are allergic to mentioning he's playing bad. Is he the problem? No... but he's definitely not the solution right now in fixing their problems.
Look who led the team in rushing LOL

The dude has a historically bad whistle can we not do this for the one favourable call he actually gets
He’s lying out his ass but I appreciate him nonetheless

So if he hasn’t been good why talk about him every week? lmao find a new topic
"I'm not that confused by Justin Herbert. Other people are, I'm not. He hasn't been an elite player in four years."
@colincowherd & @getnickwright on Herbert's continued struggles with the 0-5 Chargers
What’s with media talking heads using “the media” as this mythical, intangible entity when Nick Wright *is literally “the media” he talks about*
“I don’t think Herbert is unsalvageable. I do think he is overrated by folks in the media and I think this year is proving that out... Something has to change. And on the Chargers side of things, I’d ask myself, why is this gonna be different next year?”
@getnickwright explains:
Should Chargers consider trading Justin Herbert?

The problem with how people analyze Herbert is that they isolate one bad throw and judge his entire performance through the lens of that play, completely ignoring everything that led up to it.
Look at the beating he took on previous drives and how that inevitably affects a quarterback’s decision-making. His receivers struggled to create separation all game. There’s clearly a lack of chemistry and timing between them. Throughout the second half, he’s gone through his progressions only to find nobody open, resulting in sacks, fumbles, and brutal hits. When he’s tried to extend plays with his legs or buy time for someone to get open, he’s ended up getting dragged down from behind, aggravating his ankle.
That matters when evaluating the interception. You can’t ignore the cumulative effect of constant pressure, physical punishment, broken plays, and the frustration of having nowhere to go with the football. Eventually, a quarterback starts pressing, forcing throws he historically wouldn’t make, rushing throws and misreading the defense.
It’s like watching a fighter get beaten up for several rounds before abandoning his defense and trying to get a knockout. You can criticize the final punch, but ignoring everything that led to that moment is terrible analysis.
“It’s the same offence!” Like Tyreek and Waddle can be found on every roster
All I heard for 5 years was “put any QB in this offense and they will put up elite passing stats.”
At what point do these media talking heads admit they coddled Herbert since his rookie year and he may just not be that good?
They paid Ryan Tannehill $52.5M a year.
Paying almost $30M for a guard you gotta be out of your gd mind
