Official long term prediction for Chargers. Everyone involved in this besides Harbaugh and O’Leary is fired. Steichen will be fired from the Colts and return as OC. New GM will be told to go all in on 2027, if it doesn’t work he can nuke everything.

This would be the most logical approach in my opinion. Marty Schottenheimer replaced DC Dale Lindsey with Wade Phillips after 2003. The Chargers went from 4–12 to 12–4 in 2004, then 14–2 in 2006. Jim has a history of knowing how to coach. Sometimes the answer isn’t replacing the head coach. It’s finding the best coordinators to surround him.

Probably the right move. The players especially the defense are still playing hard for Jim. Jim can still find defensive coaching talent. The new OC will hopefully be young and be groomed to be the next HC, which I think was the plan with McDaniel. Hortiz needs to pay also, I’d elevate Chad Alexander.
