We are going to release very exciting features in the next few months :)
I am awestruck at this combo of fluent data analytics for non-coders plus training for data journalists. Kudos @adamhooper, @pierreconti, @jonathanstray for advancing what I first saw in DabbleDB (@avibryant) and OpenRefine (davidhuynh.net).

Not a full nerdbox, but here are the tools I used: Excel for cleaning/organizing, @workbenchdata for analysis and @f_l_o_u_r_i_s_h for visualizations. Some manual labor in between bc incident locations weren't always in the same format. The data came from a CPRA.

No, really, you don’t have to code to take on a simple data journalism project. Here, @workbenchdata and TON offer two, free introductory lessons, thanks to @betsyladyzhets theopennotebook.com/2020/09/…

My feature for @Open_Notebook is out! I wrote about how science writers can build on the skills they already have to use data in their work (spoiler: the most important skill is ASKING QUESTIONS). (1/6) theopennotebook.com/2020/07/…

I'm using @workbenchdata!
It's like ... data tools simplified in a super clean interface that lets even total beginners with no practical experience at all do a good deal of work
I'm looking at the PPP data and did a pretty good first pass at cleaning 88,000ish entries!

It’s so easy to play with the 60,000 + #provenances analysed during the Swiss #Glamhack2020 slicing and viewing the data in different ways. Here: top 30 Uncertainty Index artworks from Harvard Art Museums.

Auburn Gresham and Englewood areas have reported combined 10 covid deaths in the last few days.
I made some @workbenchdata workflows that filter CCME records from past 72 hours and group by zip code.
We should look start looking at cases this way ...

Here's the query. It just checks if COVID-19 is listed in the primary cause.
SELECT race, count(*)

where primarycause_linea like '%covid-19%'
group by race

Great #DataAnalysis & #DataPresentation training with CODE-NGO utilizing free (as in cost) and free (as in freedom, #FOSS) tools like @googlesheets, @workbenchdata, @Datawrapper, @rawgraphs, and #GoogleDataStudio that are perfect for NGOs, CSOs, journalists, and small orgs.
Had fun doing a training with CODE-NGO on #DataAnalysis & #DataPresentation. We talked about some principles of design and do's and don'ts of data visualization. Afterwards, we had hands-on exercises with free (as in cost) and free (as in freedom, #FOSS) tools.

@SchoolOfData's #DataPipeline. I've gotten great feedback for it from veterans to beginners who've never touched a spreadsheet. Do check it out at workbenchdata.com.
