streak ends here, solidarity w/ @NYTGuildTech
We are on ULP strike. We gave @nytimes management months of notice of our strike deadline, we made ourselves available around the clock, but the company has decided that our members aren’t worth enough to agree to a fair contract and stop committing unfair labor practices.
On today's @cctvcambridge: The 2024 MA ballot has five complex questions, so today we bring in guest experts, City Council Member Jivan Sobrinho-Wheeler and Newton HS physics teacher Rick Michalka to help explain the ramifications of each question. #mapoli vimeo.com/1023025595
On today's @cctvcambridge , the results are FINALLY in for Cambridge's 25th Middlesex race, where a rare contested primary between an entrenched incumbent and a progressive became a referendum on the (lack of) performance of Ron Mariano's state house vimeo.com/1017614093
On today's @cctvcambridge: We cover the latest dysfunction on Beacon Hill, where pols ended one of the least effective sessions in US HISTORY without addressing the Steward Hospital crisis, passing a climate bill, proper funding for the MBTA, etc, etc... vimeo.com/1005915113
On today's
@cctvcambridge a new transplant wrote to ask how to get up to speed on Cambridge politics (other than bike lanes, she's sick of us talking about bikes), so we asked Vice Mayor @Marc_C_McGovern to weigh on some of the issues that mattered to him vimeo.com/1003269256
Full interview with @Marc_C_McGovern here: vimeo.com/1003270738
Someone's been watching "What's That About?" on @cctvcambridge #cambridgema #mapoli Someone's been watching "What's That About?" on CCTV cambridgeday.com/2024/08/19/…
On today's @cctvcambridge Good news for people who blow their dough on dopamine hits! Today a viewer asks about the planned separated bus lanes from Sullivan Square... and what's up with that alleged footbridge from Assembly, is it ever gonna get built? vimeo.com/995900109
On today's @cctvcambridge: For the 13th year in a row, Beacon Hill was late with their budget, literally the last state. We spoke with candidate for Cambridge's 25th Middlesex, Evan Mackay, to talk about why MA is so messed up, and how we can fix it. vimeo.com/992172554
Full interview here vimeo.com/992176612
On today's @cctvcambridge: The city is making noises about improving Central Square and the Plaza is a construction zone... is something really going to happen this time? Also, why did the manager cut funding for the only outdoor performance venue in CSQ? vimeo.com/982082398
On today's @cctvcambridge: A viewer wants to know about the MBTA's plan to shutdown the redline this July, which we get into, but we also can't help but discuss the two recent deaths on our roads caused by trucks right-hooking cyclists. #cambridgema #mbta vimeo.com/973359021
Curious how @realBurhanAzeem is going to explain this to his constituents. This kind of unpublicized flip flop makes me feel like we got sold down the river for nothing.
On today's @cctvcambridge, In the wake of overwhelming force used to shut down the Columbia protests in NYC, how did local authorities respond to pro-Palestinian encampments at local unis? Now that the semester is over, we survey the damage. vimeo.com/954053071 #cambridgema
Today on @cctvcambridge: Remember when the DCR promised to speak to everyone about re-opening Riverbend Saturdays? Yeah, that never happened, and it turns out that some shady business by Rep. Decker had something to do with it again. #cambridgema #mapoli vimeo.com/945910082

There is an insane amount of Steve Albini recordings you could highlight, but the fact that him and Jason Molina got this in the first take will always be his peak to me. open.spotify.com/track/5Plx6…
On @cctvcambridge In defiance of overwhelming public testimony, the new council delayed new bike lanes in major arteries of Cambridge. We explain what they're thinking and why Councilor Toner says it's an "extension, not a delay." #cambridgema #mapoli vimeo.com/943714564
On Today's @cctvcambridge: Now that City Manager Huang has served for a year, "Louis" asks: how do did he measure up? Luckily, the council just did an "annual" performance review of the manager for the first time since 1942! vimeo.com/935540138 #cambridgema
On today's @cctvcambridge , Robin wants to know where he can find good comedy in Cambridge area so we tell them! Plus an EXCLUSIVE interview with the new comedy team "Reverse Skip", with roots in the famous #cambridgema sketch group "Friends of Gertrude" vimeo.com/932635769

🚨Endorsement alert🚨 We at Act on Mass are thrilled to endorse Evan MacKay for State Rep in the 25th Middlesex District! An activist and union leader, we have no doubt that Evan will put the needs of their district above insider politics on Beacon Hill. @EvanforCambridg
