hello friends i will not be continuing to post (in general and) about autism going forward this account started as a nice way to express my feelings about my personal experience being autistic but a lot of people have turned it into negative and hateful place thank you 🫶

whenever i have a good day or a few hours without getting bothered by something my brain starts to convince me that im not really autistic whats happening though is now that i know, im accommodating for myself more and therefore am able to not be so burnt out and over stimulated

when you’re autistic and given verbal instructions for something rather than a written down list

having a piece of paper from a doctor does not make you more or less autistic. self diagnosing is valid because health care is a privilege for some not a right had by all

no actually we support people who self diagnos as autistic because an evaluation can cost $1-10k in USA/CAN

it’s really dehumanizing whenever people are like ‘that’s not an autistic thing, that’s just something normal people do’ because i am a normal person who does normal things. being autistic doesn’t make me less. it both equally disables me and makes me good at some other things

can i get a hell yeah from everyone whose parents decided that they didn’t need an autism evaluation bc they didn’t know enough about autism or care to learn in order to see the signs in their own kid
