A Class 11 girl went missing from Delhi in September. She is suspected to have eloped with a man as she took cash and clothes with her FIR was filed regarding her disappearance but police didn't name the suspect in it When our team accompanied the girl's parents to police station to about the case status this week, police told them - "Once she runs out of cash, she would automatically return" This is what our teams encounter on a daily basis regarding missing schoolgirls This is why we repeatedly go to courts for securing urgent orders for police to trace the girls However, when they are traced and brought back, it is common for cops to tutor the girls on the way into telling the child welfare committee that they should say no to getting a medical test, threatening them that if any evidence of sexual relation is found the man would go to jail for 20 years Cops do so so that no inquiry is initiated under POCSO.
