Something I’ve noticed after having two destination weddings in my family in the past year is that it takes very little for your wedding to go viral, especially among Pakistani pages on IG. In fact all the effort has been on making sure the designers’, photographers’ and venues’ posts are as vague as possible regarding the identity of the bride and groom. It also does make you lowkey judge “viral weddings” because you realize they only happen because the bride and groom were deliberate about it and hungry for the attention. Some real rando weddings end up going around on Pakistani instagram and Twitter. If you guys saw mine you’d lose your mind (it was gorgeous) but inshallah nobody ever will. Only pardah I observe.
