This is a fantastic resource! It’s one thing to recommend proficiency sequences, it’s another level to see the process behind creating one #abbyschools

When your well-loved VP leaves, the whole school @ATMSSabres comes out to give her a rousing standing ovation! @jbennato you lead with kindness, care, and compassion. What a legacy you’ve left at ATMS. You will be missed by your Sabre family! 💙 #AbbySchools
Thank you @NeetuGarcha from @GlobalBC for inspiring @ATMSSabres and reminding us that authentic pronunciation of a person’s name is an important way that we can honour heritage, identity and culture. #AbbySchools #equitybackpack

This band-aid art, part of the #equitybackpack shared by @nerlapsidhu, is extremely powerful. This 12 year old student is changing the narrative through art.

Thank you @mstoneyart for sharing your feather art. Students at ATMS used colour, like you suggested, and made promise statements, actions statements and reflections on the backs of your feathers. #strength #healing #215children @wilmsja @mireillestraff

This made our day too! 🙌 We have a future Police Officer in the Sabre family! @CstMarcusDyck
This made my day! Samuel (6yrs old) sent AbbyPD a wonderful letter asking how to be a police officer. Patrol Shift #4 dropped by to visit him & help with his application. A great experience for Samuel & our officers who are so committed to our community. #StrengthInCommunity
Yes! And as a follow up to @ATMSSabres student presentation on gang violence, we invited Amy @AbbotsfordRJ to lead a circle discussion on grooming for gangs & sexual exploitation. Necessary conversations between our youth and caring adults. Student voice is powerful.
Credibility is with the students. I’m very proud of our students for sharing their voice and standing up to these social justice issues. Their voices are making a difference. The ripple effect is happening - in our @ATMSSabres classrooms and beyond. @AbbotsfordSD
This is reading comprehension of info texts in middle. Making rich, meaningful inferences by paying attn to subtitles. Necessary skills all sts need with explicit rdg instruction. Using SS content for this work. Win-win! 🙌#comprehensiontoolkit

This is awful. Dr Henry exemplifies what our society needs more of: empathy, wisdom, kindness and calmness! Come on BC let’s stand together and support someone who has our best interests at heart!

Inspiring our 13 yr old world changers! Taking our inspiration from @RunforWater and @LindaSuePark’s #alongwalktowater. Our @ATMSSabres walked 7 km to fetch water #collaboration #globalcitzens abbynews.com/community/abbot…
Thank you @ufvsasi for leading our @ATMSSabres around Gur Sikh Temple National Heritage Site. Sts enjoyed #WeAreHockey exhibit and learning more about Sikhism.
