It was 9 days. But the question Ken Paxton should really be asking himself is: "Why have I gained no ground at all on my opponent even though he didn't campaign for 9 days?"
James Talarico claims he was missing for 13 days because he had the “flu.”   Who actually believes that?   He was only seen for the first time in 13 days during a staged 15-minute appearance at a music festival.   He owes Texans answers.

The Republican midterm message is to please let them keep doing what they're doing, when what they're doing is: -Increasing inflation -Decreasing wage gains -Destroying job growth -Slowing economic growth -Growing the deficit -Keeping gas prices high -Increasing mortgage rates. -Increasing unemployment -Making millions lose their healthcare -Starting wars in the Middle East -Charging us tariffs -Funneling more money from the poorest Americans to the richest -Enriching themselves while in office -Ignoring court orders -Defying the Constitution And then, when that message obviously doesn't work, they resort to fearmongering about communists, socialists, immigrants, Muslims, LGBT people, and anyone else different enough from them to be scary. It is truly pathetic.

Inviting testimony from school districts who have failed in implementing creative calendars that meet the 75600 minute requirement is certainly a choice when so many who have done so are being successful. The solution should never be to hold everyone back because some folks can’t make new ideas work. Let’s support innovation #txlege

Abbott's campaign claims Hinojosa voted 40 times to raise property taxes. The Houston Chronicle fact checked it. The accurate version is that she voted against property tax relief measures repeatedly throughout her career. Same result. Higher bills. 🎯

I can't help but laugh at these Republican ads here in Texas attacking James Talarico and Gina Hinojosa for everything from how much land China owns in the state to higher property taxes — when Republicans have completely run the state for nearly three decades. And that's not an exaggeration. A Democrat hasn't won a statewide race in Texas since 1994, and the last time Democrats had any power in the state legislature was 2002. Which means that everything they're trying to attack these two Democrats for is literally the result of what Republicans have passed or allowed to happen in Texas, considering they've been in full control of this state for nearly 30 years. All the while, as Ken Paxton tries to slander Talarico, with Republicans trying to question his "masculinity," and Greg Abbott keeps pushing lies about Hinojosa, neither Republican has the courage to get on a stage and debate either of their Democratic opponents. Because nothing says "we're proud of our record as Republicans" quite like trying to blame the party that hasn't had any power in the state for nearly three decades for issues your party voted to approve, while being too big of cowards to debate the Democrats they claim are "dangerous" for Americans. How anyone can vote for these Republican frauds is absolutely mind-boggling.

Ads asking me to vote for a “team” not hitting with me like they used to. Political tribalism is a big part of what is wrong right now. We are Americans first not political partisans. The enemy is not my neighbor. The best candidate is the best candidate regardless of label.

Swinging by with a little education nugget for those who don’t know. Have you ever wondered why, during election night coverage, you get to see state after state voting on issues such as cannabis legalization, reproductive rights and school voucher programs - but Texas citizens never get to directly vote on issues that affect them? That is because Texas is one of a small handful of states whose State Constitution does not provide a pathway for a citizen led ballot initiative. Texas citizens are 100% at the mercy of their elected representatives, and as has become GLARINGLY obvious during this legislative session, the GOP representatives are no longer working for their constituents. Unless you show up with a check in hand, your voice is COMPLETELY ignored. The time is now. We had 49% voter turnout in 2024. That is downright shameful in a state that gives their local government as much power as ours has. This is going to take every single one of us. We HAVE to engage the disenfranchised voters and the apolitical people in our lives. There is entirely too much at stake at this point not to. National politics are what they are. It is LOCAL politics that truly affect our lives. It is high time we start treating these things like they matter. Because they DO. The fight starts NOW. Start talking, and don’t stop until we have a Texas Government that actually works for US again. In 2026, vote for the people who will vote for YOU.

Glass half empty. 1. Cost of living and taxes, UP! 2. Homeowners insurance, UP! 3. Health care and hospitals: highest uninsured rate in the country. UP! 4. Grid, data centers, water, and rural and city Flock surveillance. Big government. 💸 5. Education and public services: weak policies—chaplains, vouchers, data mining, forced technology, and the end of the teaching profession. Big-government religious indoctrination from standards through curriculum, plus more government control. @GregAbbott_TX @GinaHinojosaTX

Texas Attorney General RACE 2026 Mayes Middleton recently took a PUBLIC STANCE IN SUPPORT OF FLOCK CAMERAS. In his September 2026 CBS Texas interview, Middleton stated: we keep Flock/ALPR cameras as a law-enforcement tool (even though abuses, thus far have been by law enforcement). MIDDLETON is NOT calling for a BAN‼️ Middleton mentioned in his interview a need for Texas to institute GUARDRAILS on how flock camera technology can be used, BUT he mentioned NOTHING ON— HOW. Middleton has no clue because he was nothing more than a rubber stamp for his keepers in the GOP UNIPARTY, and does not understand how his role as Attorney General can be used in protecting Texans against the INTRUSION of flock camera usage. In its current state, Nathan Johnson states flock camera use is ORWELLIAN SURVELLIANCE‼️ Nathan Johnson on the other hand is a man with a PLAN and COMMON SENSE, that would allow flock camera usage to be a “tool” for law enforcement, however he acknowledges WE ARE NOT THERE YET, as the Texas legislature refuses to enact FORESIGHT and behave PROACTIVELY to instill protective GUARDRAILS for flock camera data collection, obvious potential FOR ABUSE and usage of data by outside entities, NOT EVEN ASSOCIATED WITH THE STATE OF TEXAS or law enforcement. Nathan Johnson believes flock cameras have NOT BEEN DEPLOYED RESPONSIBLY‼️ So TEXANS CHOICE for her next Attorney General are two candidates who do not permanently support a FLOCK CAMERA BAN, however only one, Nathan Johnson, would BAN FLOCK CAMERA USE, until legislation can be authored and passed, that eliminates its threat to Texans in several capacities, particularly UPHOLDING their 4th Amendment RIGHT TO PRIVACY. NATHAN JOHNSON IS THE MAN‼️ Nathan Johnson is the ONLY Candidate who even mentions the 4th Amendment and the Constitution as the FRAMEWORK for the implementation of flock camera usage. I am voting for the MAN WITH A PLAN, Nathan Johnson, for Texas next Attorney General. Check him out; an Attorney General for ALL‼️ @NathanForTexas @Jon_RosenthalTX nathanfortexas.com

I have personally talked to more than a few elected republicans in Texas Not their staffers but the elected official themselves. At their request I will not reveal their names. They all said to me in person we know @bofrench is an idiot and a racist bigot. They are also too scared to/ gutless to condemn him publicly. That speaks volume of where the Texas GOP and the Trump cult GOP is as a party.
New: Top Texas Republicans knew Bo French’s long and well-documented history of racist comments. They supported him anyway. After his UT post caused outrage, a number condemned his comment + called it racist. But none have rescinded their support. texastribune.org/2026/09/18/…

Factual! How “conservative” is this, really? Texas has had a Republican governor every day since 1995. Statewide offices have been Republican since 1994. The full trifecta with governor, House, and Senate, has been Republican since 2003. That is more than 30 years of one-party control. If the label “conservative” meant results instead of branding, we would not still be arguing about it. You will have to be absolutely brain dead to vote for Greg Abbott one more time.

You bootlicking morons have gerrymandered and controlled Texas for 30 years and still cry about Dems are taking over. Maybe Dems are gaining ground because the clowns in the GOP have nothing of value to offer the American people.

…because the biggest expense in public schools is teachers, humans teaching children. The state has riddled our ISD’s with unfunded mandates, bad “free” curriculum & more. To reduce costs boards almost always take away something necessary for the kids vs a ridiculous vendor contract, a grifters fraud profit, overpaid Sup’s & admins, & more. It’s just a matter of time before the very teachers currently using AI to create lessons will be replaced by the AI that they taught how to do their job. It’s already happening, this isn’t a conspiracy theory.
