Terry, 15 years here. "AZ" driver's physical, family Dr added on PSA because I was over 50. PSA crazy high, identified aggressive cancer that had reached the edge of the prostate. Surgeon VERY worried had metastasized. But I'm here and healthy, thankfully! Get the test!
Despite current negativity to PSA testing, my two-cents' worth is to pay the cost and get tested regularly. Early detection of prostate cancer thanks to PSA testing, followed by prompt surgery and later radiation, is why I'm still alive, 20 years later.
