As soon as I got into work, a (non-medical) staff member asked for my urgent advice. She was confused after a consult at her own GP practiceβ¦
Itβs transpired sheβd seen a PA whoβd introduced themselves as βbetween a nurse & a doctorβ (?!)
After a 2 MINUTE conversation, it was pretty obvious what the diagnosis is - and yes it was a barn door βsimpleβ one that I can guarantee ANY GP would get.
She has given:
βοΈWRONG diagnosis
βοΈCompletely non-sensical treatment advice (which doesnβt even match the wrong diagnosis)
How is this safe for patients?!
A waste of time & resources all round. Are they replacing GPs for this?!
π§΅mind-blowing - and so cheering to know that somewhere on this planet, humans are getting one thing right
