In 2016 I thought that Andy Burnham was just a party yes man like Yvette Cooper ... so I put my support behind Corbyn. Whether you like it of not, that was a mistake, but now he's back I really really like what he's saying. Now he has to actually deliver his rhetoric.
I mean ... I can't lie ... I feel good about this. He's saying all the right things ... God help us that he does the right things too!
Everyone thinks that British biscuits all go back years ... it's true that Digestives were invented in 1839, Garibaldi 1869, Nice 1895, Custard Creams 1908, Bourbons 1910 ...
... but I remember when they brought out Hobnobs in 1985!!! You could get a Sinclair Spectrum before!
I'm off on tour with my mates in the Gigspanner Big Band this week to kick off our summer dates. If not a gloriously sunny festival, then I'm reliably assured that it will be a lovely air-conditioned theatre or thick-walled church!!! johnspiers.co.uk/shows
Please come along!
Every time you think this Labour government is rubbish ... just think about all the lies that Boris Johnson told ... remember Liz Truss ... and then remember this.
I've just found a copy of that Rishi Sunak video in the rain with enhanced sound ... #ThingsCanOnlyGetWetter #GeneralElection #PintSizedLoser

They just get better and better! 🎶
This is absolute bollocks.
What is a left-wing voter to do in a choice between Reform (far right) and Labour (right) when there is a left wing party to vote for?
Labour have relied on our generosity and fear of first past the post too often now.

This morning I cancelled our family holiday to America. I cannot in good conscience take my wife and children there and tell them they will be safe. The United States is no longer a place for decent people.

The selections for Labour candidates needs to be more democratic and we should end NEC impositions of candidates. Local Party members should select their candidates for every election.
Shelagh Fogarty has been radicalised via her support of Israel despite the genocide and her joining those feminists who purport to be supporting women's rights by denying trans rights.
It's interesting that all the pressure on those political points are of the "far right".
LBC's Shelagh Fogarty said on air yesterday that "Well, I think Trump has done some good things" & defended him against various callers she felt were too critical. Does it get more evil than this clip and her/LBC's collusion?
