The 6th edition of SOUND OFF is nearly upon us!
Sending you warm greetings from the traditional meeting ground of amiskwacîwâskahikan (Edmonton), located within Treaty 6. I’m looking forward to enjoying theatre in-person with all of you once again. #DeafTheatre

ALT Photo of a clown on a black stage with white mime makeup, red nose, and trench coat and oversized suit tie. His arms are up, hands spread wide. In the foreground are several watching audience members. On the stage are some marking tapes, a chair, and a brown suitcase. Text overlay says “SOUND OFF 2022. A message from: Chris Dodd, Artistic Director.” The entire image is interrupted by several cascading rings emanating from the right edge.

Well, it is finally done. Since I was a kid I've thought about what it might look like and feel like to be an author and stare at a stack of my own books.
Now I know. Also, Internet, meet Kafka the Cat (also: "Kafi"), who was my research assistant on this project.

Person in Regina hospital. Crying. Dying.
"I should have had my shots. My wife had hers. She kept telling me to get mine. I'm going to die, aren't I?"
He spoke w/ family one last time before going to ICU. He told them he was so sorry.
He died 3 days later, alone.
