Over the past three days, I've been deeply involved in a youth negotiators training session ahead of COP29, organized by @CCD_UG @giz_uganda @UKinUganda @GayoUganda @SheLeadsHQ, highlighting the importance of youth in climate policy. These sessions were followed by a successful @LCOYUganda1 organized by @WalterOsigai1 . We explored how to mobilize funds for climate mitigation, adaptation, and loss and damage, emphasizing the need for a new climate finance goal that addresses these critical areas. The experience underscored COP29's role as a pivotal event for climate justice, aiming to ensure that funding supports those most impacted by climate change. Special thanks to colleagues and friends for their invaluable insights and contributions, making our collective voice stronger in advocating for a sustainable future at these crucial negotiations.
