Pierre Poilievre’s strategy of playing an anti-establishment friend of working people is compelling, effective & dangerous.
If this fake populist can con his way to power, the elite will have a field day.

A 2008 relic of computer code that solves no problem; causes dire externalities; offers no consumer protections; and has no intrinsic value (except that another fool can be induced to pay more for it), is not a panacea for fiscal woes. It's a Ponzi scheme. cnbc.com/2022/04/30/warren-b…

Some statistics to start the year:
During 2021 Bitcoin consumed 134 TWh in total, which is comparable to the electrical energy consumed by a country like Argentina.
Related CO2 emissions were ~64 Mt; enough to negate the entire global net savings from deploying EVs.

Because I’m vaccinated & boosted & take precautions, I don’t fear the virus. What I DO fear is that I, or someone I love, might need emergency medical care for something else & can’t get it because hospitals are stuffed w/people who foolishly-& selfishly-refuse to be vaccinated!

My story isn’t the only story, nor is it the central story of what happened on Jan 6th.
It is just one story of many of those whose lives were endangered at the Capitol by the lies, threats, and violence fanned by the cowardice of people who chose personal gain above democracy.

Queues are actually better inside your database, for so many reasons. Dedicated MQs have very impoverished semantics. So unless there's some extremely good reason, adding a Redis or RabbitMQ or whatever for your MQ is just an exercise in masochism.
