Where are Africa's revolutionary leaders and fearless voices for true independence? Libyan politician Ibrahim Moussa argues that much of the continent remains trapped in neocolonial systems while many of its leaders stay silent.
He points to Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger as notable exceptions, where military-led changes have been presented by supporters as anti-imperialist movements with significant public backing. @CapitaineIb226
Do you agree with his assessment, or do you see Africa's political landscape differently?

Burkina Faso has severed diplomatic ties with France with immediate effect, accusing Paris of interfering in its internal affairs and violating its national sovereignty. This development comes shortly after Niger's president accused French President Emmanuel Macron of sponsoring a terrorist attack at Niger's international airport.
Analysts monitoring the situation argue that as long as Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger continue to resist what they describe as Western imperialism and neocolonial agendas particularly from France these countries will face ongoing interference in their internal affairs. The same analysts point out that France rarely criticizes its traditional allies such as Gabon, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Burundi, and other former colonies.
They claim this is because France maintains strong control over these nations, often influencing or effectively appointing leaders who govern in ways that prioritize French interests. As a result, figures like Paul Biya in Cameroon face zero public criticism from Paris. They further contend that France continues to find a welcome in parts of Africa, including Kenya, where leaders like William Ruto are seen as new "puppet" figures protecting neocolonial objectives.
In return, such leaders are granted international visibility, such as invitations to the G7 Summit in France for photo opportunities with Western leaders like Donald Trump. Analysts conclude that actions like these make it difficult for Africa to fully break free from neocolonialism and imperialism, as the continent remains divided. Some leaders prioritize their personal or short-term interests over the broader goal of continental independence and sovereignty.

What steps can be taken to stop France's interference in the internal affairs of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger? 👇👇

Focus on security, not Biafran activists, ex-US diplomat tells FG of Nigeria.
Former United States Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Tibor Nagy, has criticised the Federal Government over what he described as efforts to target Biafran activists abroad instead of addressing insecurity, governance challenges and violence against Christians in Nigeria.
“Nigerians in former Biafra suffered greatly, never fully recovering from the horrendous war. Also tragic is the Nigerian government’s refusal to admit there is a huge problem with targeted violence against Christians.
Biafras, look at this smile — even in the midst of trials, his spirit still remains unbreakable because the fire for our freedom burns brighter than any prison wall. They can cage the body, but they can never cage the dream of a sovereign Biafra.

Using Modus Tollens to Debunk the Charge of Secession Against Southern Cameroonians_
@AbdulKarimaliSC @AbaJack161829
22 June 2026
La Republic du Cameroun military courts charge every detained Southern Cameroonian with secession, alongside terrorism and other offenses.
This assumes the 1961 union remains valid. But if well interpreted rightly as an illicit relationship between a man and a woman for example La Republic du Cameroun the man, Southern Cameroons the woman the logic flips.
If a man violates the terms through subterfuge and systemic violence if he beats, rapes, extorts, maims, and kills his partner’s family he cannot then charge her with “abandonment” for fleeing.
Modus Tollens
If P, then Q: If LRC can validly charge Southern Cameroonians with secession, then LRC upheld the 1961 Foumban federation and did not break it through subterfuge and systemic violence.
*Not Q*: LRC did not. The 20 May 1972 referendum unilaterally abolished the federation, violating Art. 47 of the 1961 Constitution. Biya’s full-scale annexation of 1984 erased “United Republic” and the second star, completing the subterfuge. The systemic violence is documented: the Kumba and Kumbo massacres of 1962; state-directed “cale cale” operations and repression from 1990 to 1992; the crushing of the lawyers’ and teachers’ protests of October 2016, with the raping and killing of students; the 8 December 2016 killings in Bamenda and Buea; and Biya’s November 2017 declaration of war. These acts repudiated the union.
*Therefore, not P*: LRC cannot validly charge secession. The abuser cannot prosecute the abused for escaping. The rapist cannot claim self-defense against his victim. @Pontifex

In the ongoing conflict between Cameroon and Ambazonia, Ambazonian liberation forces have released video footage showing a tactical ambush that killed five members of the Cameroonian armed forces. The soldiers, reportedly trained by @USEmbYaounde @USAfricaCommand special forces, were neutralized using explosives. The incident occurred while Cameroonian President Paul Biya is abroad on a private visit in Europe.Analysts monitoring the situation note that Cameroonian youths continue to suffer heavy casualties at a young age. They argue that as long as these young soldiers allow themselves to be used by the regime to protect perceived Western interests in both Cameroon and Ambazonia, such losses will persist with those in power and their foreign backers showing little concern for their lives.

Trending in the #Cameroun and #Ambazonia war of liberation:
In Belo, Northern Ambazonia, the colonial Belo Council Mayor recently congratulated the commander of Cameroonian troops in the region for what she described as efforts to maintain peace. Critics viewed the gesture as a betrayal of the suff!er!ing endured by many Ambazonians, accusing her of ignoring report made by human rights organizations that Cameroonian forces have committed war crimes and acts of genocide in the region.
However, in a dramatic turn of events, the Cameroonian Brigade Commander, Sahok Liedji Martial, was reportedly k!ill!ed on June 11 during a tactical offensive operation carried out by Ambazonia Special Forces. According to reports, three Cameroonian soldiers, including the brigade commander, were neutralized during the attack. The troops were said to have received training from U.S. special forces.
A video recorded on May 20 shows Belo Mayor Mbuh Alice congratulating Commander Sahok for his efforts to restore peace and stability in the municipality. Less than a month later, he was k!ill!ed alongside gendarmerie officer Ambassa Djona.
The two officers are among thousands of young Cameroonian troops who have l!ost their l!iv!es in Ambazonia as the armed conflict that has continued for nearly a decade, leaving a heavy human toll on all sides.

What advice would you give to the Mayor after the Cameroonian commander she publicly congratulated was k!ill!ed shortly afterward by Ambazonian liberation forces?👇👇

The conflict between Cameroon and Ambazonia has taken a significant turn. Cameroonian forces deployed on the frontlines in Ambazonia are now openly urging the government in Yaoundé to negotiate an end to the decade-long war, citing the heavy daily casualties they are suffering and the urgent need to save lives.Meanwhile, Ambazonian liberation leader Dr. Cho Ayaba, currently imprisoned in Norway, continues to call on Ambazonian fighters to maintain relentless pressure and never relent in the struggle. In his earlier speeches, he has framed the conflict as a fight against what he describes as Cameroon acting as a proxy for Western powers seeking to colonize the oil-rich Ambazonian territory. The key question now is whether Cameroonian frontline troops will be willing or able to sustain this war for another ten years. Only time will tell.

What do you do when a leader is more passionate about France than his own country, as critics have often alleged about Biya in Cameroon? This thought-provoking question is raised by Joshua Maponga, the renowned Pan-Africanist activist, in this viral video. #trending #France #Cameroun .
Your thoughts?
Do you think President Biya's close ties to France are influenced by the fact that his wife is a French citizen and holds a French passport, while he is also reported to have strong personal ties to Europe, including Switzerland?
If so, what steps do you believe Cameroon can take to free itself from neocolonial influence and strengthen its political, economic, and cultural independence?👇👇

Breaking News:
Cameroonian forces, trained by US special forces, have suffered another setback at the hands of Ambazonian liberation fighters. The Ambazonian soldiers used advanced explosives to target and destroy a Cameroonian military tank, killing eight government troops on the spot. The incident occurred while Cameroonian President Paul Biya appointed by France and widely described as a long-ruling authoritarian was abroad on a private stay in Europe, funded by Cameroonian taxpayers and supported by Western backers including the UK and France.Analysts following the conflict note that Cameroonian youths continue to die in the fighting, and suggest they will keep doing so until they recognize that they are effectively defending neocolonial interests of France, the UK, and the United States. Only then, the analysts argue, will they turn against the regime in Yaoundé.
