"Average credit back: $15,000." That's not an average. It's the ceiling. 2% of a $750k home. When your whole pitch is "we save you money," every number on the page is the product. @BuyWithHoma raised a $5M seed led by @QuietCapital. @armanjava, I went through it. 3 fixes:
Replying to @BuyWithHoma
@BuyWithHoma just raised a $5M seed to help transform home buying. We're now live in CA, TX, and FL. On-demand tours, experts at every step, and up to 2% back to lower closing costs, the purchase price, or to buy down your mortgage rate. Led by @QuietCapital with participation from @restivevc and @rexsalisbury . Excited for this next chapter! Know someone buying a home? Share this with them and help them save over $10K. tryhoma.com

2/ Saw this at Methlab. Any condition on a payout sat right under the number. Here: a $1,695,000 SF condo shows "Est. Homa Credit $33,900," exactly 2%. Every SF card I checked shows 2%. "Depends on the commission the seller side pays" sits in 12px footer text. Move it up.

3/ Saw this at HumanAPI. Proof numbers came from one live source, never typed by hand. Here: the homepage says "14,000+ Registered home buyers." The login screen says "Join 9000+ home buyers." Pick one number and pull it everywhere. Happy to share full notes.

A company built to fight hidden fees has "No Hidden Fees" in its homepage headline. The fee is 15% to 40%. It's not on the homepage. It's grey 14px text under a popup button. @chariotclaims raised a $10M Series A led by Silverton Partners. I went through it. 3 fixes:
We raised $10M Series A, led by Silverton Partners. The average class action settlement pays $32. We think consumers harmed deserve better than that. Check out the full release👇 news.crunchbase.com/ai/legal…

2/ Saw this at Real Vision 2.0. We kept fees and risk notes in plain view next to every promise. Here: "Simple, Clear, No Hidden Fees" is a 44px heading. The 15% to 40% fee is grey 14px at 3.1:1 contrast in a popup. Put the fee on the homepage, right next to "No upfront cost."

3/ Saw this at Methlab. We showed people what they'd get before we asked them to sign. Here: "Check Your Eligibility" is 3 questions, then "Type your full legal name to sign and attest." No result first. Show "You likely qualify" before the signature. Happy to share full notes.

Growth hides bad design. For a while. @crshmarket raised a $3.5M seed led by @6thManVentures. 50K users in 85 days. New visitors can't tell what it is. The featured market is closed. Consent boxes come pre-ticked. @Evanrrama, I went through it as a founding designer. 3 fixes:
What a week it’s been in Singapore at @TOKEN2049! Here’s what we’ve done: Placed 2nd out of 1,200 startups in one of crypto’s biggest startup competitions, went on a roller coaster with @_jhunsaker, co-founder of @monad and @category_xyz, announced our $3.5M raise to hundreds of people IRL and thousands more online, and met so many incredible founders and people across the industry. Now it’s back to the States to continue my comedy tour, perform in front of 20,000+ students this year, scale @CRSHMARKET to 1M users, and become one of the biggest names in the industry. Very blessed. Just getting started.

3/ Let people tick their own consent. Tap Buy Coins signed out and the Terms modal opens with all 3 boxes already ticked, including "I am at least 18 years old." With $1.65M in redemptions, trust is the product. Start them empty. Happy to send the full notes if they're useful.

2/ Never open on a closed market. My first mobile screen said "Entries are closed for this round. Play again next round." On desktop the featured market had 1 entry on each side, then locked. Feature the next open market with a countdown. Don't make no the first answer.

1/ Say what CRSH is before the stream plays. New visitors get a live Madden stream and "Will Q1 reach over 12.5 total points?" Nothing says pick, win coins, redeem. "WATCH. PICK. WIN." sits 1,493px down. Mobile has no How it Works at all. Put that line on the stream.

Most startups don't have a traffic problem. They have a first-screen problem. @walapay_io just raised a $4.6M seed to move money in 180+ countries. Their homepage doesn't say that. I went through it as a founding designer. 3 fixes:

3/ Show proof above the fold. On a 1440x900 screen, 320px of empty space pushes your customer logos below the fold. Trim it and Kira, Nuvei and the rest show up on first load. Happy to send the full notes if they're useful.

2/ Give developers a door. The only hero button is "Get in Touch", a sales form. "Read the docs" sits 4,800px down the page. Put it next to the main button. Devs pick the API. Make them hunt and they leave.

1/ Say the edge in the hero. It reads "Global Money Movement Infrastructure". Your own meta description says "stablecoin-powered". Try: "Move money in 180+ countries on stablecoin rails." Clear beats clever.

Pre-launch, your homepage is the product. It's the only screen users can touch. @HelloNavra raised a $19M Series A led by @RibbitCapital. The app isn't live yet, so I audited what is: their homepage and the app screens shown on it. As a founding designer, 4 fixes:

3/ Let the hero speak first. On my first visit, a "Request a conversation" form (Name, Firm or project, Work email) loaded over the hero. Nobody fills in a work email before reading the pitch. Open it from "Book a demo" instead.

4/ Pick one headline. The H1 rotates through "keyless self-custody", "unique yield", "new markets", and "an embedded AI agent". Each glance gets a different promise. One line, one promise. Happy to send the full notes if they're useful.
