Meet MAGAt Kevin Conover, a former Christian High School Bible teacher and head of the Bible department in El Cajon, California, who was sentenced on July 31, 2026, to 20 years to life in state prison. He pled guilty to five felony sex crime counts—including aggravated sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14, continuous sexual abuse of a child, and lewd acts with a child—following a San Diego County Sheriff's Department child abuse investigation that revealed he sexually abused a young female family member over a four-year period beginning when she was just 7 years old. Kevin Conover was married for 24 years and had three children, frequently using his long-term marriage and family life to promote his platform of biblical parenting and Christian youth discipleship. However, his family structure was completely shattered by his crimes, as the victim of his sexual abuse was a young female family member. During his sentencing hearing, the mother of the victim condemned him for committing an unforgivable act that destroyed their family, and Conover is now under a permanent court order prohibiting any contact with them. Conover leveraged his position as a prominent Christian educator, apologist, youth pastor, and founder of the religious homeschooling curriculum website "Educate for Life" to establish himself as a trusted moral authority in his community. Beyond his professional career in religious education, he actively crossed over into local politics. During his 2016 campaign for a trustee seat on the Grossmont Union High School District school board, his platform gained official backing when he was endorsed by the Republican Party of San Diego County. He will now spend decades behind bars and remain a registered sex offender for life. Before his conviction, Kevin Conover built a prominent career centered entirely on evangelical Christian education and apologetics. Holding a Master’s Degree in Apologetics from Biola University, he spent over 14 years teaching at Christian High School in El Cajon, ultimately rising to Bible Department Head. He heavily promoted a strict biblical worldview through his website, "Educate for Life," and used his platform to train Christian youth on using scripture and logic to defend their faith against secular culture. Conover expanded his religious influence into mainstream media by hosting the weekly radio show and podcast, "Educate for Life with Kevin Conover," on San Diego's Christian radio station KPRZ 1210 AM. He produced nearly 300 episodes interviewing high-profile creationists and ministry figures about youth discipleship and Christian parenting. Ironically, his final broadcasts in late 2025—airing just weeks before his arrest—focused heavily on Christian virtue, lecturing on "biblical fidelity" and the theological necessity of forgiveness while he actively concealed his crime.
