It was in 2021 when I flipped an NFT for 7 ETH. That moment pushed me to reinvest everything into projects I truly believed could last long term. Random PFPs appearing out of nowhere with huge, overpromising roadmaps never convinced me. I only trusted Otherside.
Its long-term vision, the team behind it, and what it represents culturally were the key reasons I decided to allocate my capital there. Years later, I’m still convinced it was the right decision.
My money isn’t parked in speculative PFPs. It’s invested in a real project that grows day by day. All my NFTs are directly linked to Yuga Labs or closely related side projects. Right now, the numbers don’t reflect that belief—my NFTs are worth less than ever—but my conviction hasn’t changed.
Otherside is something we’ve never seen before. I don’t know if it will reach the level of success I personally hope for, especially now that more and more companies understand that the future (or rather, the presentlies) in social gaming.
Platforms like Roblox, Zepeto, and others are growing at an incredible pace. The skins industry continues to expand, and in a few years it will be hard to imagine a physical product without its digital counterpart. That’s why I believe in this project, even though it’s obviously ambitious and extremely difficult to execute.
Virtual worlds will represent a shift comparable to the rise of the internet. In ten years, we won’t understand the world without digital metaverses.
