the part that stuck:
a Seat by itself earns nothing. you enroll it. one-time fee in TMF. then it can vote, and then it can receive.
the Briefcase is an on-chain account owned by the Seat. sell the chair and the cash inside goes with it. the buyer is paying for both.
supply is minted once. 401,000 TMF per Seat, 4,001 Seats, no team allocation. contracts have no owner, no upgrade, no pause. two Seats can merge. no new Seat can ever be created. the number only goes down. that’s the part I care about. not the office aesthetic. the rules.
I’ve been in this since 2021. most “funds” in crypto are a multisig and a vibe. this one wrote the rules down before the mint and locked them.

i was going through active listings for rare @OthersideMeta resources and caught myself on one thought …
right now nobody believes in Otherside, nobody believes in the team, no hype. people are fading and they are just tired of waiting
and even in this mood, the listings are already thin. there are almost no clean buys sitting there
so what happens when they actually turn beta on, or when players get into their own deeds? 🤔
listings get thinner, not fatter, i don’t think this flips into a carnival of dumpers, most people who waited this long are not going to sell the deed the week the fee switch goes live, they will buy deed, set their tax, and collect every day
demand outruns supply, that part is not a theory. that is what thin books do when the product finally turns on

part home, part lander, part your personal ship, in alpha everybody gets the base version, no upgrades, no custom, just a clean test of the system

Starpod is recon, land on a deed, get out, come back, not a truck
so when we start pulling the first resources off Yuga deeds, the first thing you grind is the Starpod - speed, survivability, how it holds when the route stops being a stroll

and then imagine the next layer. farmers. people who are not here for the world
they just grind the level and flip the account, the character, the edge - the same loop every MMO gets the moment a stat actually pays
the window is now, while most of the club is still fading and arguing about timelines
later crowd on FOMO will be buying the level from someone who did not care about Otherside at all

agree with this 100%. almost all of 2025, every Wednesday, @CryptoGarga jumped into the @OthersideMeta Discord for 30 minutes and just answered community questions.
alot of the time that was the alpha people actually wanted. not a trailer. not a polished thread. 30 minutes of a person from the project talking like a person.
those sessions did more for the bond between the community and Otherside than most “big” announcements.
@imjameshall or @mfigge should protect that slot. once a week. 30 minutes. questions about Otherside. that’s it.

@mfigge is actually pretty accessible. He hops into Spaces, joins conversations and interacts with people regularly.
But those moments are usually spontaneous. If he randomly jumps into a Space on a Sunday morning, you might catch it or you might completely miss it.
What if we had BAYC CEO Office Hours in Discord?
One hour. Members only. On a consistent schedule.
Doesn't even need to be every week. Maybe every other week. Maybe once a month. The important part is that members know when it's happening and can rely on having that direct line to Figge.
Could be text. Could be VC. Ask questions, talk about what's happening around the club, hear what he's thinking, or just shoot the shit for an hour.
This isn't Meet at the Clubhouse or a public X Space open to everyone. This is specifically for BAYC members inside the club.
I think there's something very Web3 about owning an Ape and having a scheduled hour where you can actually show up and interact directly with the CEO of the company behind it.
We used to have Bored Meetings. Pudgy has Inner Igloos. I've suggested something like this before, including directly to Garga.
Especially with ApeFest coming up, I'd love to see us try it.
And maybe it gives people somewhere to ask their questions besides writing a 14 paragraph post on the timeline. 😂
