I am excited to share our publication in JVS-CIT!
🔹 Dual-layer facial vein patch for carotid endarterectomy
🔹 Uses tissue already available in the operative field
🔹 Reinforced 2-layer design may reduce patch dilation and aneurysmal degeneration

Congratulations, Rana Afifi, MD, for receiving the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) Presidential Citation Award, an annual recognition to members who have demonstrated exceptional service and whose significant contributions have made a meaningful impact on the SVS!
Thank you for all the support @RMotaganahalli @SavlaniaAjay
One of the highlights of the @VascularSVS VAM meeting is meeting your old mentees and hearing their successes and helping the new ones make those connections. Vascular surgery is a close knit profession where we support and help others grow in their career ambitions @vineeth1126

Data presented at #VAM26 reinforce the durability of TCAR, with only 12 reinterventions required among more than 1,000 procedures over eight years at a single high-volume institution.

Proud to share ARCH-ARC out today in Circulation 🔥 The endo arch world is moving FAST — branched/fenestrated devices, ascending endografts, total arch without sternotomy. We needed a framework to keep up. First-ever standardized endpoints for thoracic aortic arch trials: new aortic-specific neuro endpoints including structured neurocognitive testing, delirium protocols & spinal cord injury grading. A modified Type A Dissection Classification system to clarify arch involvement. A framework for multi-specialty collaboration. Real outcomes for real patients. It was a privilege to lead this alongside @AWBeckMD and couldn't be prouder of what this incredible international team built together 🫀🚀 #AorticSurgery #TEVAR #ArchARC

💉 Have we been overlooking the proximal ulnar artery?
In this series, externally supported proximal ulnar AVFs achieved a 77% unassisted maturation rate, outperforming traditional brachial and proximal radial inflow options.
