Congrats to Dr. @scottlemaire who has been selected as the new Editor-in-Chief of the JTCVS journal family. Dr. LeMaire will begin his new position January 1. He succeeds Dr. Alec Patterson who has served as Editor-in-Chief since January 2022. Alec is giant in the world of Thoracic Surgery, and his legacy is unmatched. I saw first hand his generosity and mentorship during my service on the editorial board of Annals of Thoracic Surgery, which I will always cherish. Scott is a leading light in our field, and has done a spectacular job in his tenure as EiC Journal of Surgical Research, a position he has held since 2015. Agree 💯 We’ve moved toward LMWH for our acute PE patients too. It can take surprisingly long to order, administer and get patients therapeutic on IV UFH!
