The Doors huddled outside their rehearsal studio on Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood in November 1969. Captured by rock photographer Henry Diltz during the sessions that shaped the Morrison Hotel album.
🎸 Morrison Hotel opens with the hard-charging drive of Roadhouse Blues and features fan favorites like Peace Frog, Waiting for the Sun, and Indian Summer. What is your standout track from that 1970 record? 🎸 👇️

Lewis Floyd Henry found Jimi Hendrix by accident.
He asked his dad who the greatest guitarist was, got a half-remembered name, and a record-store cassette changed everything.
Now the art-school-trained former graffiti artist busks Hendrix as a one-man band: guitar, bass, and drums at once. Here's "Red House."

ICE violently detain U.S. citizen—for filming on public sidewalk.
Lock her in jail over 7 hours—then swab her cheeks to collect DNA.
2 agents drag her off the sidewalk & slam her up against their vehicle.
Reason for arrest was "impeding"—but video clearly shows her backing up on the sidewalk and not in the street.
Apparently agents got upset because she called them names—and they wanted to prove their toughness.
Incident occurred near the El Super grocery store in the City Heights neighborhood of San Diego, California.
Mea Marie doesn't have an active account on this platform—so posting first full length and credited video here to help raise awareness.

Wake Up to Guitar Greatness
Today's Pick: Jeff Beck - "Beck's Bolero" (Studio, 1966)
Beck's lead here rides a 1966 session with Page, John Paul Jones, and Keith Moon, the jam that named Led Zeppelin.

Jimi Hendrix's final concert almost didn't happen.
On this day in 1970, the Love & Peace Festival in Germany had descended into chaos: rain, biker violence, acts cancelling and when he finally took the stage, the cold, fed-up crowd booed him.
His response: “I don't give a f*** if you boo, as long as you boo in key.”
Then he hit them with “Killing Floor” and won them over. Twelve days later, he was gone.

Keith Richards I'm Waiting For The Man
The Velvet Underground & Nico
