Exactly the point I’ve made repeatedly and in my book WTF India: Are we losing the plot: the unwillingness of those in power to do anything qua pollution hits the poorest of the poor hardest and the shameless dolts who are responsible are enjoying their tax-payer funded air purifiers.

Fantastic milestone! 🚀 Seeing such massive participation—especially with one-third being young girls—truly shows the bright and inclusive future of India's space ecosystem. Kudos! – at Kasia Kushinagar, India
Day 1 of @INSPaCeIND model rocketry CanSat event done. Amazing feeling. 75 teams, 550 students - 1/3 girls - in attendance. Confident, energetic, knowledgeable, analytic - all the traits of future space scientists. Pic below - An NAL drone taking off with 4 CanSats.

Mumbai’s air quality just went from “moderate” to “poor” overnight.
State government’s response? Draft a brand-new Clean Air Programme… within a month.
Because nothing says urgency like another plan, more committees, and ₹200-300 crore that civic bodies “lack the financial means” to spend.
Meanwhile the haze is doing its job perfectly — hiding the skyline and the accountability.

Mumbai is choking. The AQI is soaring.
Thanks to builder-loving, nature-hating Fadnavis, who will not rest until Mumbaikars choke to death and his builder friends can build another tower on the heaps of our corpses.
And Eknath Shinde, who thinks MMRDA is his private construction company, working overtime to keep his party relevant.
Both these evil men, with their insatiable lust for money and power, are going to ensure that Mumbai is rendered uninhabitable soon.
These guys will rot in hell for plunging Mumbai into absolute chaos.

Classic, well-articulated piece by @awaisahmedna. Just as space agencies are now dabbling with multilateralism in today's day and age, it is important for deep tech founders to double up as thought leaders presenting their viewpoints more frequently.
Case in point - we are entering an age where the geopolitics of deep tech will decide who its chief beneficiaries are. One point this article makes is that “…the deep tech of yesterday created the convenience of today”. However, a few things have changed; the geopolitics of space today will tend towards the convenience of tomorrow.
I believe the old game of trading arrangements, common enemies, etc. is phasing out, and we need to ruthlessly pursue demand and capital at all costs if we are to seize the Viksit moment. In simple terms, “what’s in it for me (India)”.
Unlike last year, this is not a geopolitical transition, but more of a rapture. This means that if you are building a house, you should be living in it, not renting it out.

19-year-old white supremacist American plotted a terror attack at the largest Hindu temple in Aurora on Sunday. His co-workers tipped off the police. He had both hatred & weapons to carry out the attack
on 'non-white people'. His gun jammed.
Of course now it is all a 'mental health' issue.

This is how you setup an institution for success. Congratulations!
A heartfelt thank you to Anant Ambani Ji for coming forward to establish the Indian School of Agriculture in Rayalaseema, Andhra Pradesh.
Your commitment to empowering our farmers, strengthening agriculture and transforming Rayalaseema into a global horticulture hub is deeply appreciated. You are now one of our own, a beloved son of Andhra Pradesh!

If my dad were alive today we would have shared a chuckle over this ad. In the 1970’s he used to wear dhoti/veshti/mundu at home when he would get back from work. I used to feel embarrassed when my northie friends would visit and giggle at his attire. It took me 20 years to persuade him to wear pyjamas instead. And now you have a Bachchan advertising for dhotis. Our Prime Ministers from the South too wore it very rarely in Delhi. PM Modi too wears a veshti only when he is in a southern state.
