MLMC Campaigner Ady has arrived in Manchester for the @GMCDP's National Disability Hustings. He will be asking politicians: 2000 people with a learning disability are still in long stay hospital - if you are the next government how will you get them home? #DontLockUsAway

Raana has fragile x syndrome, but the principles are the same.
I'm aware a lot of what I cover is the positive side - people's ability to do great stuff, which relies on the right support. But I also look at support inadequacies and failures.
We have to hold both those thoughts.

When a Labour MP celebrates blocking five homes for people with learning disabilities on the basis they would undermine community cohesion, what hope is there of ever seeing such citizens embraced in the heart of our society? My @theipaper column inews.co.uk/opinion/mp-celeb…

Cancel Culture
The first time I was cancelled I was six years old. I was holding my father’s hand. We were in Ladbroke Grove, London. I looked to the building on my left and saw, in the lower left corner of the front room window, a postcard. It read:
“Room To Let
No blacks
No Irish
No dogs”
Age six I knew I was first on the list of what years later would be known as “Cancel Culture”;
Though few think
(that far).

Such a kind review of my Nick Drake track. Bedankt 🙏
"Katherine Priddy likes to color outside the lines and adds outside influences to her music based on English folk music. Also in her fantastic cover of the Nick Drake composition 'I Think They're Leaving Me Behind'."
Katherine Priddy kleurt graag buiten de lijntjes en voegt invloeden van buiten toe aan haar op Engelse folkmuziek gebaseerde muziek. Ook in haar fantastische cover van de Nick Drake compositie ‘I Think They're Leaving Me Behind’.

Sinead: and she was the first to talk about abuse in the Catholic church - tearing up the picture of the Pope on TV - but 99% of the music industry hung her out to dry. She was decades before her time, and fearless. Rest in power, queen.

Hearing Amanda Pritchard use the “I am a patient too so I understand” line. It’s true that we are all patients but this line is too often used in the NHS to play down the need for coproduction. It’s a misunderstanding of issues of power & the importance of codesign
