At the end of his life, after losing his chance at love and his partnership with his best friend, Halliday came to understand the importance of reality, which he described as "the only thing that's real." #bcm325
Wade ends up fighting through the Sixer soldiers, and enters the third gate. He solves more of Halliday’s puzzles and reaches Halliday’s Easter egg, just before the Sixers do. I hope he ends up sharing his winnings with his friends! #bcm325

Could you imagine real life was like this? Going into a world someone created and playing in this world.. exactly like the OASIS? This movie reminds me so much of like free guy 😅 #bcm325
The movie features a dystopian future where income inequality has prompted a mass migration of the poor to a wasteland of shipping containers made into "houses" stacked as high as skyscrapers in exoskeletons of plastic tubing and rusted scaffolding. #bcm325 (1/2)

All these movies seem to all have this destructed environment with neon light aesthetic exactly like cyberpunk aesthetics. Did anyone else notice this? VR goggles and gloves are the means to escape this hell for the heavenly OASIS.. #bcm325 (2/)
Clines OASIS in ready player one is about mindsets and social norms. Our own systems are coming to reflect cyber systems. Our culture is cyberculture. The way we organize ourselves socially is more of a reflection of social networking websites than lived, social reality. #BCM325

I spot cyberpunk aesthetics in ready player one in both the real and virtual world. We see aspects of high tech-low life in the environment and style of clothing, to bright neon colours. #bcm325

This week's topic is on Cyberspace, as Ready Player One involves tech such as VR, I am interested to see the connections this movie will present. #bcm325
Ready Player One 2018, directed by Steven Spielberg is set is the not too distant future 2045, the planet is on the brink of chaos and collapse, but people find salvation in the OASIS, an expansive virtual reality universe created by James Halliday. #bcm325
Now watching 'Ready Player One' (2018) Which is kind of fun because I have seen bits of this movie before, so this will be fun to watch it properly in one setting! #bcm325
