to clarify, not looking for prompt engineers. artists. people who can listen to a story and draw an inspired character from it. people who’ve worked close to animation are preferred.

Three weeks ago, we had an idea.
What if we organized an AI Film Festival in Tokyo?
Why Tokyo?
Because this is where some of the world's most iconic IPs were born. Pokémon. Naruto. Attack on Titan. Studio Ghibli and so many more. Few places have shaped global storytelling the way Japan has.
As AI begins to transform how stories are imagined, created, and produced, there couldn't be a more meaningful place to have this conversation.
In just two and a half weeks, that idea became reality.
We're now just 7 days away from the Tokyo AI Film Festival.
We're bringing together filmmakers, creators, technologists, and industry leaders, including the people behind the stories and franchises many of us grew up with.
The creators behind Attack on Titan. The people behind Pokémon. The minds that helped shape modern storytelling and global pop culture.
Together, we'll explore how AI can work alongside creators and some of the world's biggest studios and IPs to enhance storytelling, not replace it.
This is about celebrating what's possible when creativity and technology come together.

for years i've been the person who falls down rabbit holes for fun - three hours deep into some niche wikipedia trail, some forgotten forum, some internet subculture nobody asked about.
that's what "ghumakkad" means to me: wanderer.
not someone going places, someone going down threads.
i wanted to build a room for that energy. a place where being obsessed with something weird and specific isn't a personality flaw, it's the whole point. where nerd culture doesn't have to explain itself or get watered down to be "relatable", it just gets to exist, loudly, with other people who get it.
so we got a bunch of ghumakkads in one room, brought our rabbit holes with us, and let them collide.
this is what happened.
