genital preference discourse is always a nuclear bomb because once side sees it as an identity and validity issue and the other side is only thinking about it purely in relation to actual sex between themselves and a hypothetical other

realized I've been in one of those "I thought I was unsure yet about what I want but actually I am perfectly clear about my desire, I'm just scared and hiding it from myself" type of situations

about how they’re actually just unloved and no one cares about them. it’s irresponsible. it’s mean. BPD is largely about what happens within you and your struggles and going “it’s everyone else” doesn’t solve for the hurt you feel or help you be in less pain.

besides even the abuse apology angle I don’t think it’s good for people with BPD to see others saying “no but if they actually loved you you wouldn’t feel that way” bc I think that fails them. people with BPD shouldn’t have to have another argument thrown onto the pile

incredibly concerning the amount of abuse apologism I’ve seen lately when it comes to talking about BPD with people arguing “well if the partner was good enough/actually cared about you then you wouldn’t split or have symptoms or ever feel abandoned and lash out”

We shouldn't be mean to people who aren't academically smart but we absolutely have a right + responsibility to shame the intellectually incurious. The world is literally on fire because of anti-intellectualism

Please do not learn to be normal about your romantic feelings. They are supposed to render you abnormal. You are meant to be deranged by them.
