Our merch is in production! Here’s a sneak peek.
The real question is… are YOU ready? 👀

RIP legend
We’ve lost an icon. Margaret Hamilton, a computer science pioneer best known for her work at MIT leading development of the flight software for the Apollo missions to the moon, has died at 90. Read about her legacy via MIT News: news.mit.edu/2026/margaret-h…

The thing I learned this year is that when engineers say they like working on “hard problems”, they actually don't. What they like is puzzle solving, and having a repertoire of patterns that they can pattern match onto traditionally hard problems, usually involving databases or something with scale, etc. And they know that the industry used to pay you a lot for how deep and broad this repertoire was. Unfortunately, in 2026, well, you have a cheat code machine that has infinite breadth and depth for pattern matching. So the question is, do you actually like hard problems? Because there are now hard problems that are a complection of engineering, product, society, culture, politics, and they are fairly intractable, probably unsolvable! Because if you do want to work on those actually hard problems, there is so much money that people will pay you for it. But you’ll have to face that truth about yourself first.

[TR] Ülkemizin en teknik yapay zekâ konferansını organize edip, tokenların cep yaktığı şu dönemde ekran kartı hediye etmemek ayıp olurdu, değil mi? :D
Etkinliğin sonunda, hediyeyi kazanan katılımcımıza ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 5060 Ti OC 8GB ekran kartını bizzat @AlicanKiraz0 takdim edecek. 🎁🔥
Bakalım bu canavarı kim evine götürecek? 😎 Takip ve rt edin @LatentShiftAI

I started Sundown because I kept losing track of my days. Time flew by and I couldn't tell where it went. So I built something to track them. After a while of using it, I could finally see what my days were made of.
Version one was just for me. It had no real design, only blocks. Checking in took too many steps for such a simple app, and the colors were off. That didn't bother me much, because I only cared that it worked. The name and a short description were the only hints about what the app was for.
Then people started writing to me. More than ten emails came in about Sundown, plus a few kind comments. That changed how I saw it. Sundown wasn't only mine anymore. If other people were going to use it every day, it had to look good as well as work.
First, I made check-ins simpler. Four pages became one. I set myself two limits: a check-in had to take about 30 seconds or less, and it couldn't need more than 10 to 15 taps. Anything longer would make it a chore, and people drop chores.
Then I fixed the colors, and that took the longest. I tried a lot of palettes, did research, and none of them felt right. So I went to the source. Every weekend for three months, I watched the sunrise and the sunset. The Dusk and Lavender themes came straight from those mornings and evenings. After checked-in the palate slightly changes.
(If you are a Sundowner, you will like it!)
But none of that is the most important part. The most important part was one comment: "I use Sundown to think about tomorrow, so I can have a better day." People found their own ways to use it. Some use it to plan a better tomorrow. Some use it to track their time. And some just want to see where their time goes, like I did.

Hey streamer! You want to control your OBS directly from your Twitch or Kick chat?
This OBS Bridge does it seamlessly so wherever you are, you can control your OBS.
Here is what it can do: 🧵

ALT A screenshot of a dark-themed web dashboard for an application called "OBS Bridge". The left side displays active connection statuses for OBS, Twitch, and Kick, followed by a log of recent chat commands like !startrecord and !stoprecord. The right side features panels to configure "Main" and "BRB" scenes, manage authorized users for Twitch and Kick, and a large green "Copy Updated URL" button. At the bottom right is an expanded list of available chat commands, such as !scene <name>, brb, !startstream, and !stopstream, along with their descriptions.

Few tools have changed the industry like VS Code. I got to work with this team twice. First, bringing Go support to @code when the extension became the anchor for the Go tooling, and later, when we were building GitHub Copilot.
The story behind VS Code is now a documentary where I got a chance to tell the early story how VS Code helped us in the early days of Go. This is one of the most incredible teams and projects in the history of our industry, and the documentary is well worth a watch.

The whole point of posting this video is to rally support from security engineers and help make omarchy secure from day one.
Lets hunt some critical bugs! I promise you’ll learn a ton of cool things, contribute to open source, and have plenty of fun along the way.
Spend whole saturday to exploit this. God I love the way Linux teaches something every time I try to use it 😂
