In Canada, you can randomly kill a CBC journalist, and get out of prison to do more crime in just 1.5 years.
This is bullshit. Our criminal justice system is completely broken.
The Liberals who broke it arenât going to fix it.

I was downtown for a Leafs game last week. Parked underground. Left a secure building to walk a block to dinner, homeless guy assaulted the couple walking immediately ahead of me and my wife. Couldâve been us, couldâve been anyone. Happens all the time. To accept this is insane.

Just because you feel safe doesnât mean that everyone else has to.
Where specifically in Toronto? Is there something that makes you physically, or economically different than other members of the population that may not feel the same way?
I think the point is that most people donât feel this way based on the polls, which is why populism works. Is it possible that something about your experience specifically made you feel safe is different than most people?
This exact disparity is what people without that are motivated to vote against, and why they feel that Mayor Chow and her supporters (mostly homeowners in city-suburbs) are out of touch with what everyone else feels.
Itâs a glaringly obvious issue and visible change that resonates easily with voters and I think it would be fair for you to be empathetic to why just because you feel safe doesnât mean everyone else does.

There you go folks. Total desperation move. When you cannot defend your own record, just call the other candidate Trump or MAGA. Her team is reading the polls too and seeing the massive tide turn.
Iâm disappointed to hear that Brad Bradford welcomed yet another person with extreme views into his campaign.
Divisive MAGA-Trump politics has no place in this election.

Breathing in someone elseâs crystal meth is always a great way to start my workday. WTF are you doing about the 501 Queen Streetcar @TTChelps, @MayorOliviaChow and @TorontoPolice ? Enough is enough. I paid my fare to get to work, not to inhale someone elseâs pipe.

Itâs clear the Mayorâs handlers did not want her to have debates for fear of this kind of performance.Reading prepared notes for responses, and in this case poorly researched notes, and bizarre off the cuff responses about street festivals. Stools to appear taller are not helpful
This clip was the highlight of the latest Toronto debate on City for me, but you could take just about any segment and repeat the same happenings more or less:
Oliva Chow, reading from her notes, makes a wild and baseless accusation. Accuses Bradford of privatizing water and making the pipes unsafe "like Calgary" she says.
Brad Bradford simply corrects her. "Calgary's recommendation is exactly what I am proposing."
Then Olivia, (on a stool btw to I guess look more legitimate?) stares off at her staffers in the back with what can only be a "wtf, why didn't you read that report?" kind of glance.
I feel bad for her staffers today.

I recently learned that the entire country of Canada has fewer MRI machines than the state of Pennsylvania, despite having 3x the population.
That's wild... The median time for a scan is over 4 months. đ

A very good boy may have just earned his place in the church choir.
During Mass at The Grottoâs annual Blessing of the Animals on Sept. 20, one husky couldnât resist joining in when the music began. In a now-viral video filmed by attendee Blanca Gallardo, the pup lets out a series of enthusiastic howls as a priest sings â prompting the priest to walk over and hold a microphone near the furry vocalist.
The moment has become an internet hit, with the Instagram Reel drawing 7.1 million views and 741,000 likes. The huskyâs owner and identity were not initially known, though Gallardo said she attended the blessing with her own dog, Phoebe.
The clipâs comments quickly turned the impromptu duet into a heavenly punchline. One viewer, @kindsi, wrote: âThe priest sang, âall creatures of our God and King, lift up your voice and let us singâ and the husky said âHaleAWOOOOOyah!ââ
Honestly, the dog was just following directions.
The Blessing of the Animals took place at 3:30 p.m. in The Grotto Plaza. The annual event welcomes people and pets of all faiths and celebrates the âjoy, beauty, love, fidelity, encouragement and comfortâ that animal companions bring into peopleâs lives.
And if this dog had anything to say about it, that comfort apparently comes with a powerful set of lungs.
Today, on the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, it seems only right that one enthusiastic husky reminded everyone at Mass that all creatures are invited to lift up their voices, even if that voice is an awe-inspiring âawoooo.â
