I have been following the uranium market for a decade. The biggest investing "error" I have seen during that time has been investors focusing on a stagnating (or falling) spot price and assuming that tells the whole story.
This has also been the a recurring opportunity. 🧵
This was a good read 👇🏻
I spend countless hours writing this book.

As mentioned yesterday, this is the floor. Rough week for equities, but physical is firm. Up from here.
⚡️Spot #Uranium for both #Nuclear fuel brokers @Numerco & @UraniumMarkets rose today to close up on the week at $90.13/lb #U3O8⤴️💲🛢️☢️ as whispers from a Spot trading desk🦻🐦 say there's a lineup of wannabe buyers putting firm upward bias support under the Spot price.📈🛒🐒🤠🐂

If you missed my latest interview, I sat down with Justin Huhn of @uraniuminsider to discuss the uranium market, nuclear energy, supply and demand, uranium stocks, what comes next for the sector and a new unprecedented development.
Justin explains why sentiment is terrible, why uranium stocks still look cheap, how future reactor growth could reshape demand, and why a major new buyer has entered the market.

The equities have been in the gutter. Sentiment is despondant. But it is an error to assume that the equities' price action should be the entire narrative.
Everyone wants to buy low and sell high, but when the “buy low” opportunities present themselves, very few have the stones to do it.
Education on the fundamentals supporting the long-term upward trajectory for the price of uranium and access to information regarding the physical market are the only things that make this process easier. It’s still not easy, but you just have to ask yourself if the bull market for the commodity is over…and if it is not, is it an opportunity when the equities diverge from the uranium price?
Thus far, it has been. Every. Single. Time.
Again, where’s the incentive? Unfortunately for utilities, they won’t be able to rely on only state-owned entities for their future uranium supply. Either prices rise or there will be insufficient fuel. Period.
🤔As I was saying and to prove my point, Deep Yellow announces on #Australia's ASX today that "current equity market conditions do not support a Final Investment Decision (FID) in Q4 2026" for its 3.6M lbs per year Tumas greenfield #Uranium mine in #Namibia.😯
As I posted yesterday: "Rising operating & borrowing costs💰⤴️ as share prices are being hammered down⏬💥🔨 will further delay crucial exploration, resource expansion, mine development & construction that's absolutely essential to fix the widening structural supply deficit🦥 sending that deficit to far deeper levels as the U3O8 commodity demand soars.↕️🗜️"
⚠️The delayed FID pushes the commencement of production to Q1 2029 at the earliest, if that FID comes in Q1 2027, with a subsequent 15-month ramp period to full nameplate capacity of 3.6 Million lbs per year in Q2 2030 if all goes perfectly, which is 4 years from now.😲
#Nuclear fuel buyers will have to keep waiting for new greenfield mines to fix the Uranium supply deficit that continues to widen, day after day.😢🤠🐂 #UraniumSqueeze 🪗

This is where fortunes are built in commodity cycles.
When quality names like Cameco ($CCJ), NexGen ($NXE), and Denison ($DNN) are sitting 40% to 50%+ off their peaks despite the structural #nuclear supply deficit growing wider every month, emotional retail sellers are handing over institutional-grade entry setups.
This is the classic "Get Right and Sit Tight" phase:
🔵Fundamentals haven't changed: Tech buildouts, grid baseload demands, and nuclear reactor restarts are locking in multi-year #uranium demand that supply simply cannot fulfill.
🔵Technicals tell you HOW to enter: You don't jump in with all your capital at once. You use wave structure and technical levels to scale in systematically through the drawdowns.
🔵Capital discipline: Cyclical washouts shake out impatient daytraders so patient, long-term capital can position ahead of the next structural wave up.
When high-conviction assets get deeply oversold without a change in the core macro thesis, you don't panic. Map your risk, scale in calmly, and let time do the heavy lifting.
There isn’t a #uranium developer or producer that hasn’t taken a serious hit from its 5-year highs.
I know 90% of investors don’t want to hear this, but this could be the opportunity.
I feel for investors who are deeply underwater. I’ve been through these brutal cycles several times in my career, and you learn a few things along the way.
In my opinion, uranium equities look deeply oversold, with no single obvious reason justifying the scale of the sell-off.
Could they fall further? Of course.
But I’m taking my chances and scaling in little by little.
Not financial advice. Just my opinion.

Russia is already a major uranium producer. So why is it trying to buy even more uranium from Kazakhstan?
That was the most interesting part of Trevor Hall and Justin Huhn's latest Going Nuclear discussion.
Russia mines uranium, but it also processes uranium into nuclear fuel for its own reactors and customers around the world.
And apparently, it wants more.
Kazatomprom's shareholders recently rejected a proposed major uranium supply contract with Russia's Uranium One. Most shareholders abstained from voting. Interestingly, they approved a separate agreement with a Chinese buyer.
Justin raised another interesting possibility.
Russia's uranium enrichment plants might be approaching their limits. If that's the case, Russia could use more natural uranium to produce the same amount of nuclear fuel, reducing the amount of enrichment work required.
That would mean even more demand for mined uranium. It's an interesting theory, although we don't have proof.
They also discussed UEC's ambitions to enter uranium conversion, US nuclear expansion and whether an AI bubble could hurt uranium investments.
I particularly agree with Justin's point about AI. Existing reactors will continue consuming uranium regardless of what happens to the AI boom.
My takeaway? Uranium stocks are getting hammered while major buyers are trying to secure future supply.
That disconnect is worth watching. But it doesn't automatically make every uranium miner a bargain.

Meanwhile, #uranium stocks are trading like utilities are planning to run their nuclear reactors on hopeium. 🤷♂️
Remind me the incentive to build a uranium mine? $PDN crucified for a slight miss and rising costs. Yet many utilities still want justification for $80 floors in contracts SMH.
The uranium price is going to soar. Tough sledding here but the bottom is close. Hang in there.
